Thankyou, but I meant that you should take a printscreen of the error message and show it to us; not that you should attempt to use a printscreen as the avatar. I'm going to try to guide you through this step by step because I think it'll be quicker than troubleshooting here. Hell, I should have one of these saved for quick access since it's a regular enough question.

Animated Avatars Starting From Scratch

1. Open pivot.

2. Click "options".

3. Set both numbers to 500.

4. Click "Ok".

5. Make your animation. If you don't know how, find some other tutorials too.

6. Click "File"

7. Click "Save"

8. Name your animation.

9. Click "Ok".

10. Click "File"

11. Click "Save".

12. Underneath the name of your animation there is another bar which will say ".piv" at the moment. Click the arrow next to it and change it to ".gif". If you are using pivot 3 for some unknown reason then you need to select the "animated gif" option.

13. Name your animation and click "Ok".

14. If it asks you if you want to overwrite previous save file then click "yes".

15. You will get one of two screens up. If you are using pivot 2.2.5, then you will get to choose "frame delay" which MUST be set to 6. You will also get "resize" which MUST be set to 4. These are not optional. Touch nothing else. If you are using pivot3, then the only thing you may touch is the resize, which must go to 25%.

16. Click "ok".

17. Close pivot.

18. Open your internet.

19. Go to www.imageshack.us

20. Click "browse".

21. Find the version of your animation which you saved as a .gif.

22. Select it.

23. Click "Ok".

24. Click "upload".

25. Wait.

26. There should be a number of links on the page. Select the one labelled "Direct Link" and copy it.

27. Log in to your account here.

28. Go to "User CP"

29. Go to "Edit Avatar".

30. Where it says "option 1", underneath there there is a box which already has "http://www." written in it. Select that and press ctrl+v.

31. Press "Save Changes".

32. You now have an animated avatar. If it failed, try again from step one. You did something wrong, or the file became corrupted somewhere.

For Uploading A Pre-made Animation In Pivot 2.2.5

1. Open the animation in pivot

2. Click "options"

3. Identify the larger of the two numbers (you may need a grown-up to help with this part ;)

4. Divide that number by 125. Calculators are permitted.

5. Round UP to the next whole number. Seriously. Even if it's 5.00001, the number you want is 6.

6. Click "File"

7. Click "Save".

8. Underneath the name of your animation there is another bar which will say ".piv" at the moment. Click the arrow next to it and change it to ".gif".

9. Name your animation and click "Ok".

10. If it asks you if you want to overwrite previous save file then click "yes".

11. A screen will appear. You will get to choose "frame delay" which MUST be set to 6. You will also get "resize" which MUST be set to the number you calculated and rounded earlier. These are not optional. Touch nothing else.

12. Click "ok".

13. Close pivot.

14. Open your internet.

15. Go to www.imageshack.us

16. Click "browse".

17. Find the version of your animation which you saved as a .gif.

18. Select it.

19. Click "Ok".

20. Click "upload".

21. Wait.

22. There should be a number of links on the page. Select the one labelled "Direct Link" and copy it.

25. Go to "Edit Avatar".

26. Where it says "option 1", underneath there there is a box which already has "http://www." written in it. Select that and press ctrl+v.

28. You now have an animated avatar. If it failed, try again from step one. You did something wrong, or the file became corrupted somewhere.

For Uploading A Pre-made Animation In Pivot 3

1. Delete all of your animations and the pivot 3 programme.

2. Download pivot 2.2.5

3. Start from the beginning of the first guide.

For Uploading A Pre-made Animation In Pivot 3 if you're really insistent that this is the one you want but on your head be it

1. Open the animation in pivot

2. Click "options"

3. Identify the larger of the two numbers (you may need a grown-up to help with this part ;)

4. Divide 125 by that number. Calculators are permitted.

5. Multiply by 100 and round down to the next whole number. Seriously. Even if it's 5.99999, the number you want is 6.

Change the resize to the number we worked out and rounded down earlier. Touch nothing else.

12. Click "ok".

13. Close pivot.

14. Open your internet.

15. Go to www.imageshack.us

16. Click "browse".

17. Find the version of your animation which you saved as a .gif.

Alright, calm down, no need to multi-post. If there's something extra you forgot to say then you can always use the edit button in the bottom right corner of your post. If the file is too large then it means that the animation is too long. You probably don't want it any longer than two or three seconds for an avatar.
