Gay marriage has recently been legalized in Illinois. Here is the chicago tribune article.

What are your thoughts on Gay marriage and homosexuality in general? I personally have nothing against them, but tend to find flamboyant gays that constantly state it very annoying. Aside from that, to each their own i suppose.

No, I meant that recently, some gay peoples are planning to teach gay marriage to primary school kids once it is passed into law. I'm not saying that they're obligating the kids to be gay but what's exactly the point ?

If they're taught about it at an early age, they'll probably grow up without becoming homophobic since they'll have known about it for a long time.

The alternative being... to deny that gay people can get married despite the fact that they can? Children are presumably taught what marriage is at school, so the fact that it's between any two people is relevant to that lesson. It's not like they're going to have a weekly class in the workings of anal sex.

It sounds as though you are saying that homosexuals, of recent, are trying to change childrens' sexual-orientations, and it also seems as though you are implying that homosexuals, of recent, are pedophiles.

I've never known anyone to try and force their homosexuality on another person. And in the example cruel provided, I'm positive that homosexual parents would be ok with having straight children. Plus kids would talk about such a thing to each other and teachers so they would know the average parents are straight.

I think they need to get rid of all the stupid benefits that belong to being married and just make it a ceremonial bullshit thing.
The state should never be informed of shit like this, if I want to be with someone for the rest of my life, it's not really their business.


If we looked at marriage like this, gay marriage wouldn't even be an issue in the first place.

But then whenever someone died without leaving a will their assets would go to the state. Any stay-at-home husband/wife would be royally fucked over.

Honestly what are they going to teach beside the fact that gay marriage is when two peoples of the same gender marry each other. Wouldn't the main teacher telling his students about it for some minutes be enough ?
