I've pretty much self-taught myself through this whole time. There was this old tutorial collection back on Deviantart by Strills that all the cool cats frequented to beef up their skills back in the day, and I just chose to study that over and over again.

Other than that, Hyun's tutorials had helped me grasp an idea of stick figure animation. Aside from those, I just viewed other stick figure animations, and went frame-by-frame and studied the movements of each of the stick figures. I think every aspiring stick figure animator here has done that at least once.

Also, for any animators just starting up, I recommend Strills' Mega Tutorial for you to look at, as it's a GREAT collection of concepts and movements that you'll need when animating your sticks. For anyone who's curious, the link's right here.

I started when my friend showed my flipnotes on my DSi, I watched some of the stick figure fights,, and I started to long to become one of them, but I never knew how to post, so i practiced and practiced for about 3 years, and then 1 year ago it closed down, so I found out about stickpage.

I learned from studying others animayions, wtching them frame by frame, and then started watching the occasional tutorial from famous stick figure animators.
and that is how I learnt to animate!

Summer class which taught me animation basics and operating Flash.

Then it's all Trial-and-Error afterwards up to now. Slowest way to learn but it works.
