The diamond colour on my order is quite hard. I am doing it but I am not sure if it looks good. Expect the order in by the end of the day.

I suggest getting the base shape of the blade, take all the details and place them into another layer, after coloring the base shape, you can start to color the details EVENLY, what you color one side you color the other. Use brown or maroon for the hilt and silver for where the the blade begins in the base shape and I suggest a gold-ish shade for the details. Good luck!

Just to add to this, the colors depend on what theme you want to give your sword. If it is an evil sword it would have dark colors.
