So I have been toying around with Magis and I could have sworn when I first started using them that an electric wall or explosion would damage a shinobied shadowrath. I could have also sworn that if I hit one with a spell that it uncloaked them and thought I had successfully tested that, but it seems now that shinobied ninjas are untouchable until they are uncloaked and then by that time it is too late. They can run away and get some healing. I can poison one but that is just about it and this is absolutely useless when close to the enemies statue and only slightly effective on the other end.

Here is a quote from the game guide on the subject:

"*Be warned that while you can not be attacked while cloaked you can still be partially seen and spell damage and Explosion damage will still affect you."

This is a little troublesome cause it means there is no way to defend against the cloak. You just have to hope your forces are big enough to get them while they are running away.

I'm just wondering if this is a change that was made with the recent upgrades and if I was right about a spell being able to uncloak the ninja.

Explosions, Magikill poison, and a well timed reaper still affect them, but electric wall, hell fists, and stone face do not.

EDIT: No, there is no way to "Uncloak" a shinobi shadowrath other than outrunning it or manually doing it to your own shadows.

I have some questions: Was this a change as part of an update, did electric wall work in the recent past and was there ever a way to uncloak a shadow? I've recently paired two cloaked ninjas against each other. They were running for an attack on the other and then I cloaked both of them right before they reached the other. They just stood around until the first one uncloaks giving the advantage to the second who then takes his shot. I even did it with a group against a group and same thing, they just stand around until the first group uncloaks. I thought in the past a couple of ninjas could uncloak each other.

No to both queries. Electric wall never worked vs shinobishadows and there was never a way to "unloak" them. I don't know if mage blast works against them, but I know bomber explosions work wonders.
