I've been resisting ranked for months now; but l'm now gonna start grinding once l get back in the game.

Just got griefed for the first time. When we started I got stuck as the jungler, because all the other positions were taken. The guy playing Shen started spamming requests to invade the enemies blue buff. When he chatted "GET THE FUCK OVR HEAR!" we told him no because he was being a prick. So he deliberately tried to sabotage my jungling, refused to stick to a lane, died a shit load and was generally a complete nuisance.
I muted the tard and told my teammates to just ignore him and report him.
Eventually the good players on the team weren't enough and him essentially being an anti-teammate made it clear we were going to lose, so we surrendered.
Best player on the enemy team.

I still went 3/2/6 though. I did my job the best I could and still had fun. Not going to let the griefer have his way.

OH damn, missed the soraka discussion. I'll put in my thoughts here anyway.

Oh my god I use soraka mid is actually reaaaaallly strong. I've used her plenty of times mid lane and have never lost my lane just because my opponent literally has no idea how to play against her. Her e (silence) has a ridiculous range and her starcall has surprising amounts of damage. Top that off with pretty much a 2 second cd on that, you're doing massive dps at a constant rate. You have incredible sustain and global presence. The only downside is that you fall off just a tiny bit in terms of damage but when it comes to those heals....damn.

TL;DR soraka has always been good and i love playing her mid XD
