I'm sure some of you might experience a period when you ran out of ideas for animating....
so... I want to see what are your motivations ._.

I animate because I'm currently rigged to a machine that measures how many frames I'm drawing per minute, every 10 minutes. If for any reason the amount drops below 1 frame, a small but oddly shaped butternut squash is pressed firmly against my ballsack. The texture of the squash's outer skin arouses me. However, if I achieve a full erection, my penis will raise, thus tipping the system of wires that are connected to a near priceless 17th-century Braussin centerpiece. This will result in said centerpiece toppling off its pedestal and shattering against the cave floor. With the pieces smashed, the bees that are contained within will swarm over my body, likely stinging me over a large portion of my skin. I am allergic to bee stings and the resultant hospital bill would leave me financially troubled, as I do not have insurance.

Trying new stuff and getting better.
Ussually, when I must animate someting but I don't feel like it, I first animate some particles to get in the mood. Particles doesn't need to be planed, nor is a mechanical movement that tires your mind while animating. You're totally free to do whatever you want with them, and with the final result, you feel really good because it looks cool (unless you suck at particles) and when you put filters to it , it looks awesome. that really gets me in the mood.
Music is also good, but don't search for music like heavy metal just because it's fast paced and you think that will fire you up. Search for music that makes you feel alive. I have some songs that really makes me feel great while animating because it reminds me of those times when I animated all night long in summer with the temperature high has f*ck ('cause u know, that's summer) for my very first RHG battle, because while I was on it, I was listening to these songs. that summer was great just because I started animating, and listening that music makes me feel the same fire I felt that time. Search music significative for you, maybe songs that reminds you of someone or just makes you feel alive.
That's all I can say

I really don't have a certain motivation which means i only drive for self satisfaction. If i want to do a project ill do it for myself. Nothing pushes me. I guess i push myself really

Usually, i trying to copyout some fighting moves from the animation that's already created and movies that has action(fighting moves) and sometimes i just imagent in my head what kind of moves, background designing, and camera angle. If i don't have any idea, just stop animating for few monthes. :D

Famous ones.
I want to compete with them and make a name for myself. It's as simple as that.

Request for this to be moved at the General Forum?
When I want to animate, it's because for a good reason. Or, for entertainment purposes. Or, to kill boredom. I never made a practice anim EVER before. I animate stuff for school, like an intro for a video project or something.
I also am trying to join ISAC collabs, right now they are making one.

I don't ever feel like I'm good enough so I find improvement most thrilling, but to entertain others is on top of my list.

The satisfaction when the fruit of your hardwork and countless of days of actually animating something comes to life.
Or not.
