View Profile Well there's at least 2 games I kinda want for 3DS to add to the only 4 that I already wanted and own. Maybe it can stop being a paperweight and resume being a handheld console, at least for a month or so.
Also Reggie is looking healthier, good for him.

View Profile The 3DS has no games I want to play. I've owned one since launch day and everything that comes out for it looks boring to me.
inb4 "shit taste" "nintendodon2013" "fuck you for having an opinion"

View Profile It was more of a "what games look boring to you, maybe i can recommend you some that you missed" type of things
You shouldn't take my hostility too seriously, Jeff

View Profile It was more of a joke lol oh well. I've already seen the comments you made at Hewitt and I've also already poured over release lists for the 3DS as well as Nintendo Directs and that shit, but I can never justify spending the money on games that look sorta like something I'd like, because in my experience I give them a shot and get bored quickly, which feels like a huge waste. I don't have interests in remakes or ports unless they add something significant, and games that are iterative like Mario Kart or Pokemon I don't buy in to unless there's enough of a change that it feels fresh again (Pokemon is a good example of this). I've tried a few games I thought might be up my alley like Luigi's Mansion but pretty much all of them I didn't purchase because they couldn't hold my attention. I can't handle most other types of games on the 3DS because they're usually really uncomfortable for me to play. FPS games and strategy games don't have any appeal for me on handheld. I don't really like having things recommended to me because chances are I've looked at it and tried it and have already decided against it, which results in the person making recommendations getting mad about it.
The games that I do own and enjoy for it are pretty much just Super Mario 3D Land (which also happens to be my absolute favorite of the new marios so far), Pokemon X and Y, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (which I play for the story because I like the franchise and developers enough to keep buying into it, though the 3DS version is also the worst of the ones they've released in my opinion). I definitely think it was so much easier on the DS to find games I liked because I could just download the ROMs to play it, and if I played it more than an hour I went out and purchased it. I don't doubt there are a few games out there that would be worth it, but I wouldn't risk spending money on something I wasn't 100% sure I'd like.

View Profile Is the 3DS any different from the regular DS? I mean it just looked like a normal Ds with a shitty 3d-ish look to it and a better engine with a new control stick addition. Is there any significant change that made it worth paying more for?
Also, I played Assasins Creed Black flag recently and must say that the combat disappointed me a bit. The free world and Naval combat was interesting and pretty unique, but I played assasins creed games to run around rooftops and fight 12 people at once and still win. It didn't seem as appealing to me as 3 or brotherhood, but thats just my personal taste i suppose.

Are a 3D screen, better hardware (engine?) and a new control scheme not significant enough? That statement is really confusing, as those are some of the most significant parts of any machine when talking upgrades. That's like, "are there any significant changes to the PS4? it just looks like a PS3 with a new controller and better hardware."

View Profile Has anyone played this new game on Steam called Neverwinter? It's a free-to-play game and it looked really cool. (Currently downloading)
The game got my attention because I have a game called Neverwinter Nights that also uses a D&D system and both of the games existed in the same dimension.
Also, I decided to download it because well, Its only 4 gb which means downloading will be much faster and have less chance of frickin' resetting.

I was in the closed beta. It was fun for a bit, but if you're not a fan of D&D the board game then there's no way you can stick with it for long and truly appreciate it. Hope you like it though.
