Playing Dangan Ronpa 2 right now. Mostly the same as the last one with a few differences here and there and there are some that I don't agree with, but I bought Dangan Ronpa 2 hoping it would be very similar to the original, so I pretty much got exactly what I wanted and more.

Overall satisfied with purchase. Hoping I can get my hands on Gravity Rush after this.

Raptor, I hope you're prepared for the mind breaking plot they had at the end of the game. Ohohoho.

Would have preferred if you hadn't said that, but the damage has been done.

Gah. Im sorry if i ruined your experience of the game, im just super excited when you finish the game and know everyting about and me being able to talk about it with someone.

Also im jealous that you got to play the game. I posses neither the game or the necessary console to play it on. Do update me on your progress though.

Im playing Fuse with some friends right now. Really mindless, awesome shootemup. I'm probably getting the same reaction as alot of people who have played this game and that is why would they change their design from Overkill to this one. Such a shame. I try not to think about what it was so I can just enjoy this shooter for all its worth

The smash bros demo was released earlier today in europe, and I can't express how much I love it. The physics are really nice, the speed is just perfect imo and the characters you could play as were all really good.

a lil bit more in-depth on the characters (Click to Show)

You guys should definitely download the demo if you have a 3ds, it's tons of fun and makes me so hyped.

Anyways, I know I'm a bit late on this but I've just played the telltale game of The Walking Dead, season 1. I gotta admit, it's really fun to play and to see how the story goes. The only BS part is that saving people doesn't even matter since
spoiler for walking dead games (Click to Show)

So yeah. You guys played any new games recently?

This dude gives some solid reviews I mean he just says how it is. I just felt like posting this just cause he is the only one that I actually respect his reviews.

So I finally got a chance to sit down and play the 3DS demo of smash and... I really hate it. I know it's a demo but it doesn't leave a great first impression for me, and I really REALLY don't understand all the hype and praise it's getting. There are a lot of things I find to be wrong with it, but the biggest problem I have has to do with the controls. Seriously, there's 3 different ways to jump but for some reason the main attack button and the item pick up button are the same one? You couldn't use X or Y for picking up items? No it totally makes sense to stop me from initiating my attack just because an item spawned on top of me, but hey there's three ways to jump guys so that's cool right!?

Now, I feel like I'm going to get dismissed by fanboys for saying this but I need to say it: Playstation All-Stars on Vita did it better. So much better. Barring what you think about how the game works, it not only controls better but it looks better. At least, so far. I'm going to try again when the full game comes out but I'm so far off the hype train right now that I'm not sure I'll bother with the 3DS version. So far it's missed the mark hard for me. I don't understand how anyone can look at the button layout on the 3DS and come up with what they did for controls. Then to make it worse they have this "new" 3DS bullshit coming out that has all these extra buttons... like you finalized the controls for the game and decided that there weren't enough buttons so you added more instead of rethinking your dumb control scheme? Better make our fans buy an unnecessary hardware revision or deal with crap controls because we are incompetent. Please tell me I'm missing something because this is really stupid.

The whole concept of smash bros on a 3ds is off putting to me, I can't even imagine smash being enjoyable in any way without it being on a large screen with a game cube controller

You summed it up for me pretty well.
However that being said, I for one am looking forward to trying it where I believe it belongs. On the console.
Been a smash fan for a long time, and I'm looking forward, and have a PS4, if they ever decide to release another all stars I'll get it. However I know my friends will get smash with out a blink of an eye, so I'll happily play it with my GC in hand once more and decide then.

3DS though? Forget that.

Oh I'm looking forward to the game on consoles, I think the game at it's core is still fun and worth playing if you like that kind of thing (which I do). The prospect of a 3DS smash was appealing to me because Playstation All-Stars did it almost perfectly, so I was really excited for smash to follow suit. I know a lot of people think it would be awful on a small screen and I think that's a valid concern, but that wasn't really one of the problems I had personally. They just made a lot of decisions that are so painful to see because they're so bad.

I didn't care about the screen, I cared about the control scheme. I didn't understand how they were going to do ANYTHING with the C buttons whatsoever, which I rarely used howver were good ina pinch. The buttons themselves for me were annoying enough. But yea, that 3 ways to jump is sort of ridiculous. For Vita, I can't actually say that I played it there. I remember playing some form of something that looked like smash at my friends place that I believe was all stars, could be wrong. Wasn't a playstation owner until recently when microsoft sunk their ship.

Lol I think on Vita the controls for All-Stars were almost perfect. Part of that is because the vita was smartly designed (I think it suffers but for other reasons), whereas the 3DS wasn't and now gamers are paying for it. I also noticed the positioning of the buttons felt weird, too. I was reading a lot of fan boys online defending them by saying they're the same buttons they always have been (x and y for jump, a and b for attacks), but they don't seem to understand that buttons are less about the label and more about the position, and the 3DS positions them strangely. I feel like a natural control scheme for me would have b as jump, x and y as attacks, and a as pick up and/or something else. Regardless, I can get used to whatever button positions they want me to use with time, but the way it is now doesn't make good use of what's available and the gameplay actually suffers from it.
