walking seemed really weird, the jump had no build up, he just flew across, and i dont know what the red thing was that he hit lol. but its a good start keep it up.

Go to the flash tutorial section, or even look at some of the other animations on this site to see how you can improve.
Also, try to stay away from "tha cliff" type animations. The whole concept has been beaten to death unless you can do something new with it.
But, since your a beginner, dont sweat it too much.

This is why i wish the beginner section was open.
Anyway, if you study animations long enough and how the sticks are made and follow tutorials, you my friend would be on cloud 9 to animation.
But just practice practice.

It was 'ok' but here are some things you could fix to make the final package alot better.
The Running Part: You need to realy smooth it out, I suggest taking a flash tutorial.
The Jump: Make him bend his legs first then release.
The Blood: There is no excuse for just leaving something there instead of going through each frame a fixing it, its your fault for forgetting it.
Oter than that, it was pretty good for a begginer.
