Quote from mysterybatYes, 3 empires may be enough....
but what I think the problem is that those who cannot pay for the game can have no chance to try other empires and get more fun
when they can only stick to only order empire, they will just feel bored and unfair, and think there are advantages for those who pay for the game
because some players may not play good with order, but have the chance to raise their ratings through training with other empires
From my point of view, a good game should always be created and designed for the sake of most players
I can understand that more difficulties in game fixing may be resulted if there are 4 empires
however, I still think that the feeling of most players is more important
Even there are difficulties to make the power of 4 empires balance, if there are chances for players to feel that they can get different kinds of fun by training with different empires and strategies, I am sure that most players are willing to be patient and wait for the balance.
That is somehow a decision-making for short-term and long-term . In short-term, if 3 empires exist while 2 of them require players to pay, then the game can make more money, but at the same time some people may quit. But if 4 empires exist while 2 are free and 2 need to pay, then there are more difficulties to control the game balance, but more players can find the fun of this game.
Quote from fhtrgMaybe they could let you have like 5 trails for each empire, and then choose which one you like best.
Quote from funnyfingersWell lets wait and see after the this empire comes out. Me im favor of many empire I know there a lot of starcraft ppl here but you have to remember this isn't starcraft in my opinion this game is still open to many empires you can have goblin empire (little green stick men ;P) a empire of slaves that band together (consisting of order and chaos slaves, powers and skills but not all the same) and maybe even more. but I noticed with just the 2 empires we have right now there are not many ways to start you either start one way or another same why if you fighting chaos or order with new empire you may have to start a different way and different strategy but in the end it will boil down to this starting strategy for one empire and this start strategy for another. In my old game there where many factions about 5 I think, and you could not always start the same there where many ways to start depending on which faction you where playing and I think multiple empires will enhance game balance. but of course that takes time and it just us SE players opinons ;)
Quote from mysterybatjust for my own feel....
5 trials really mean nothing - -
with only 5 trials, you cannot even get enough training for a single empire, especially for chaos, without enough training, then it would definitely result in a loss in short map like castle, and then waste the trials :/
I prefer the option of developing one more free empire, or if not, then more wins = more trials to encourage people to play more
Quote from _Ai_Let's have 10 empires. That enough for every player to play?
Trials are meant for you to just well, try chaos. Never use the trials for ranking, because you won't enjoy the full course of chaos gaming there. Instead, play the trial with a friend. You can drag the match long and long and long... until you decide that chaos is money-worthy or not.
Quote from fhtrgBut then, alts. You could have 3 alts, one with each empire.
