Just a fast thing for one of the characters in my flash series.

Your style is strange, but it looks interesting. When I saw the picture first, I thought there was something wrong with the right arm's position. Didn't realize that it was the palm, not back of the hand. These lines at the background look a bit too rough comparing to the drawing itself, as for me.
Also... For some reason I'm trying to decode the symbols in your signature, lol. T for tublr, something like d for deviantart... And a reverse F for YouTube?
And what flash series are you talking about? Are you going to do animations with these characters?

I made a small language thing for the species of the main character in the series. Some letters are related to ones you can find in the English alphabet, and some are just out of my imagination. When written they F looking thing looks more like an inverted and slanted Y.

And yes, the lines in the back are made from a pixel brush, which I did on purpose considering this character is supposed to be a tough and cold hearted character. I try to express that by using completely different brushes that you wouldn't expect.

I dunno, open photoshop and just test crap out.
I know most of photoshop so If you want tips I don't mind offering.

One question though, are you using a mouse, or tablet. As I try everyday to make nice things with mouse but i cant make nice things with the mouse.
even tried pen tool, but it looks unnatural sometimes.
And if u are using mouse(God status) do you have any tips?

I usually draw things on paper first, then either use a tablet, or use PaintoolSAI's line tool. This one started on paper, then I used a tablet to fully sketch it out digitally, lined, then colored in. Transferred to Photoshop for effects.

Hmm, sounds interesting. But not all people will get these changed letters... Thanks for the explanation anyway.

There are always several ways to express one thing. And I don't like this one too much, lol. For me this brush associates only with my old-noobish-rough-sketches I used to draw in flash. That's just my subjective opinion, you know. Also, these lines make that black stick in character's hand kind of invisible. I hope you don't mind my complaints, hehe. Nice drawing anyway.

Yeah it's your choice, I have been visiting here more than any other of those accounts anyways. And yes I get the fact that everything isn't perfect, I can't draw hands very well, and the " stick " is actually supposed to look rather flat and unreal.
Also I don't really wanna make everything obvious to the viewer, it's like making a movie and spoiling it in the trailer.
The characters aren't made to be understood, with them I can lay hints around in the story and only a few would be able to actually successfully decipher.
Complaints? I dunno if they are just your opinion anyways.

And I just remembered if you have skype, I am usually there. But be warned I have a rather suggestive profile picture.
