I know that a lot of people have been complaining about the state of our strategy forums. With all this talk of people not posting there anymore and reforming the strategy threads, I thought that the best way to do this is to have a set format in which to post one's strategies. It could look something like this.

Title: (Cool sounding cliche name)-(Rating you got to with the strategy)

Description of the strategy, starting with what you first buy, then elaborate on potential counters to what they buy. Go into early game, mid game, and late game macro if the strategy gets into there.

Pros-What strategies it can beat
Cons-What this strategy usually loses to

Replay section that has several examples of the strategy in action.

Then I propose that we use the thread rating tool to rate how well done the strategy is and how viable it is. If a strategy posted does not follow this format then people can rate it down and others would know not to bother reading it.

Of course this is just a suggestion for an outline. Maybe we could have something similar to this that is less strict.

Or another option is to make this official and lock any threads that don't follow the format

Then in the comments below people can have a nice civilized discussion on how to beat it (though that's probably asking for too much isn't it?)

Good idea, Jerry. But I'd prefer to keep this optional, just to give players freedom with what they post. They're strategies after all not applications which you have to be strict to.
