I've started playing again and I've noticed that my strategy is very outdated. It's been about a year, and I'm still using Archer-Sword!

Anyone have any new tips for me?

And for those of you who know me, please, I want to start fresh. Please don't intentionally try to pour oil into the fire.

Miner/Sword/Sword or Miner/Archer for Medium/Long maps.
Miner/Archer or Sword/Archer for Short Maps.

Short = Castle, Swamp, Hallow, Desert
Medium = Ice, Gates, Forest
Long = Grass Hills

Use a map-dependent opening and transition into Archer/Spear. That's typically what intermediate level order players do.

And how effective is Archer/Spear? Does anyone have a replay?

Well, after this new update albows are far superior. Spear/Albow with a later game transition into ninja/albow would probably be the best thing to do on a bigger map.

Oh man, I hate Shadalbow so much sometimes, luckily I haven't seen it in a few weeks.

Does anyone have a replay of someone winning with this? My strategy is outdated.

I've been doing Archer/Sword... my opening is solid but I don't really have anywhere to go after that if we tie and end up with the little skirmishes for the middle then building an army.

So basically I'm looking for the new transition from opening to middle.

If you are pushed to the defensive (AKA losing the opening) you would need to focus on building defenses to repel harassment, pull like a fatty-style turtle if you can. Otherwise your options and chances are fairly limited.
