I'm not sure Pivot was the best tool for this. If you're just going to do a slideshow you might as well use powerpoint - you could do your drawings in a program more suited to artwork and it would be much easier to add the text.

It wasn't that bad was it? Yeah I was focusing more on the story but this is an animation, not a slide show, that sucks massive

I didn't say it was bad, but there isn't really any movement there. There's a walk, which wasn't great but was at least animation, but everything else is just jumping from one position to the next.

Animate some actual movements, please. Not shifting from an initial pose to another as if you're doing a stop motion. Even stop motion animations are relatively smooth. The story was pretty generic and unoriginal, and the characters' models are poor and need improvement.
I know that you've done "that" just because of the story, not for the sake of the animation which is wrong, in my opinion. As a beginner, you should keep yourself from lenghty projects until you reach DD veteran rank, because when doing a lenghty with details and perfect movements and all that, people will actualy praise your work and thus appriciate you and classify you as an important person. I'm 100% certain that the main purpose of this thread is to get compliments. Well, that's not how it works. Learn the basics and practice them until someone tells you that you finaly got the hang of it.

Ok so you speak in lectures. Thanks for the advice but Zed said that in a MUCH simpler way so I'm gonna do that but this anim isn't really involving anything I'm good with.when the plot really gets moving it'll look way better.

I for one have a different view, using lengthy projects as a mean to learn along the way. Of course, whether if the final product ought to be publicly shown is still up in the air. Also, Jthatcher, don't make Rokon's mistake. (Was it him? I don't remember well)Quote from sifterpivoterI know that you've done "that" just because of the story, not for the sake of the animation which is wrong, in my opinion. Making long Series in pivot never succeed. Also do you really know how to make a good series? I mean the way you made dialogue was so dry and reminded me of a bad high school cliche anime. If you are gonna make a series you should learn more about good story and plotting.
Animation-Wise you're not very good at moments. I mean that beginning thing he did to get out of bed was just bad. You should atleast know how to ease and execute smooth movements before making a series. Also I hope you know 30 minutes is over 36000 (at 20 fps).

I don't know much about making a series and I'm better at fighting than any other aspect of animation but this is something I wanna try so I'm gonna do it. You don't have to watch it if you don't want but it will be here.Quote from PoxMaking long Series in pivot never succeed. Also do you really know how to make a good series? Plus I don't know anyone else who would pick up this story (or do it right if they did) so I'm gonna try it myself.
