PERSONALITY
He is a man with a determined heart. Eve
n if he knows he is going to lose, he always do his best. Charlie is also a bright person, he had learned a lot of scientific and history stuffs. When in a good mood, he always love telling jokes and laughing. He never gets angry really fast. When someone accidentally punches him, he will easily forgive them without giving any harm, he is a happy-go-lucky man. When it goes into fighting, he is always in his max potential. He is very aggressive and, before a fight or when there is time, always plan a strategy/tactic on how to stop the person trying to kill/attack him. Sometimes he is talkative.
Another thing is that he never kills even if the person is trying to kill him, he will just try to encourage the person to do his best just to keep the person happy. Charlie appreciates science and history a lot, his dream is to become a successful scientist.
Charlotte is not the type of a person who loves to speak dirty words, but will say bad words non-stop when on aggressive mode. Charlie also acts like a child, sometimes people would thought that he has a "child's brain" rather than an "adult's brain". [/spoiler]

STORY
Charlie was born in Columbus, Ohio, rais
ed by his mother Alice Evelton and father Roland Hyshards. When he finished studying, Charlie trained as a swordsman in The Way of a Swordsman of the United States of America (TWSUSA) located in Ohio where his dad taught him how to use a sword (later, he trained with the Hafleim Swords). As he reach 16 and was about to finish as a student of TWSUSA, his father gave him the
Dual Hafleim Sword. The sword is made of combined metals such as iridium, titanium, osmium, tungsten, lutetium and diamond. It was said that an old blacksmith named J.H. Jones (Joseph Hare Jones) forged it in the year of 1987 during the "Earthwar" that took place in Earth. (see Earthwar in the story section for more information).
When Charlie reached 17, he went to Japan to train as a swordsman again in The Blade Academy located in Tokyo. His teacher, Yasuke Hadari, a known Japanese blacksmith and former swordsman who fights against the Aethofahns, improved the Hafleim Sword by re-forging the Hafleim Swords to improve its sharpness but this time: Yasuke added another improvement by putting a blazing fire around the sword (see "Weapon Information" section for more information about the Hafleim Sword). After 6 months of training in The Blade Academy in Japan, he retired and went to Louiseville, Kentucky and lived in Louiseville Hotel.[/spoiler]
BEFORE READING: Before reading, please note that a lot of stuffs (including presidents, weapons and many more) are just made-up. They're not real.
The Earthwar began in the year 1985 with a very huge spacecraft landing in Madrid, Spain. During the landing, it was said that 150 Aethos (refer to Small Information about stuffs section to know more about Aethos). Aethos basically are 7'8 inches mechs that wields a lot of high-technology weapons. During the landing, these mechs went outside from the spacecraft and started slaughtering innocent civillians of Madrid with their L5 Machinegun. 5 months went by, it was announced by the president of Spain, Adolfo Del Los Juan, that he and his team of highly-trained builders are going to construct a large base and is going to be named "United Army of Spain". The UAS consists of elite trained soldiers that can be used in attacking or battling against Aethos.
In the year 1986, more Aetho Spacecrafts started landing all over the world. These Aethos began constructing base in different places, their biggest base is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The same year, US president Douglas Butler declared that they will build an enormous base that is the same as Spain and was named "United Army of America". In December 30, 1986, the UAS declared the first Humans-Aethos War and sent 15,000 trained Spanish soldiers, together with 1500 tanks and 800 war planes, to USA; China; Japan; and Russia in order to wipe out any Aethos.
In the year 1987, a new weapon called "Hafleim Sword" was invented by professional blacksmiths that can be used in attacking Aethos in melee-to-melee combat. These swords is extremely effective since they're forged from really hard metals and diamonds.
In the year 1988, President Yang Sao Min of China also announced that a base, named "United Army of China", is currently in construction. The same year, Britain; Japan; Philippines; Russia; India; Indonesia and Malaysia announced that they're also going to take part in the war and started constructing their own bases (each base of a country has the 'United Army of *insert country name here*'). The same year, UAS (Spain); UAA (America); UAB (Britain); UAR (Russia) and UAC (China) declared the second Humans-Aethos War and sent combined soldiers all around the world.
In the year 1992, the third Humans-Aethos War began.
In the year 1994, the fourth Humans-Aethos War began.
The same year, 1994, the Aethos surrendered while the world won against them. The Aethos left with their spacecrafts and ended the Earthwar era.
Charlie learned how to manipulate fire w
hen he first joined the Pyrokinesis Academy. It basically looks like a school with its own room, each room has its own pyrokinesis teacher. He attended the Pyrokinesis Academy on December 22, 2014 (that was before he met Aiba Kannagi). He was taught by a professional fire manipulator and retired professional magician, Robert Chuck. Charlie said that Robert Chuck is extremely strict and would punch him if he don't follow his teachings and rules very well. From December 22 to 29, he was taught by Robert on how to manipulate fire with hands. From December 30 to January 8, he was taught on how to manipulate fire with both of his swords. Robert said
"Charlie is a smart guy, he learned pyrokinesis very fast and that's unbelievable. My other students learned pyrokinesis and spent their days being taught by me for thirty to fifty days. But Charlie, I think he just learned pyrokinesis for like sixteen or seventeen days. I like him, and he's a nice guy."[/i][/spoiler]

January 10, 2014, 10PM of the night. Charlie had been seeing things while walking on the street to go back home after buying foods on a market, "It's so creepy here, I think I'm seeing aliens or something.[/i] he thought. Charlie glanced at the trees on his left side and right side just to check if someone's following him since he's been hearing things, he was walking on the middle of the street; there was no cars passing by or any person walking by: it's just Charlie walking at the middle of a street. Suddenly, unexpected, an unknown man landed on Charlie's back, embraced him and tried to choke him but Charlotte successfully elbowed the man on the right side of the stomach. The unknown man held his stomach tightly with his right hand and walked backwards. Charlotte turned backwards while coughing.
"Uhh, who are you? And why are you trying to choke me?" asked Charlie with a soft voice.
"Watashi wa Kannagi Aiba desu, Oyasumi! I wanted a fight since I'm bored as hell, I've been following you for like five minutes since I noticed that you have two swords on your back. Who are you anyways?"
"Watashi wa Charlie desu! I only learned Japanese when I was at Tokyo haha. Anyways I always bring these swords just in case if someone tries to attack me like a thief trying to steal my wallet or if there's danger coming. Uh, well, are you seeking for a fight or something? I'm also a bit bored, I just went to the market to buy some foods and I was on my way home when you suddenly appeared out of nowhere like a ghost. Oh and you look young, are you a teenager or something? I'm nineteen year old." replied Charlie.
"Seven-teen year old. Oh and that's cool, go get your swords now and we'll start a quick fight."
"Hmm, an adult against a teenager? Let's see who'll win."
Charlie grinned, he lifted both of his swords with both of his hand and whispered, "Fire unleash!". The swords started burning and smokes were coming out from the blades. Aiba unleashed his katana in front of him and held it with his left hand.
"I hope for a fun fight!" said Aiba with a quick laugh.
Charlie charged towards Aiba, he swung both of his swords to cut Aiba's skin on the chest but luckily, Aiba's very good "sense danger" ability allowed him to dodge the sword just by walking backwards really quick. Suddenly, a series of electricity occured on Aiba's katana. Aiba sprinted towards Charlie, swung his katana vertically on Charlotte's body but he also successfully.
Aiba lifted his katana and pointed it at Charlie's face. "You thought you dodged it? Heh, you're wrong because I'm pretty sure I'm better than you." said Aiba.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm a trained swordsman." replied Charlie.
Charlotte docked really quick, which Aiba didn't noticed, and pointed his right Hafleim Sword on Aiba's stomach. "See? I told you, I'm also a good swordsman." said Charlie while grinning.
"You think I only use a katana as a weapon? Haha, you fell right into my trap!" replied Aiba.
A really strong wind suddenly occured around Aiba and Charlie, the strong wind caused Charlie to fly away from Aiba. Charlotte fell on the land and coughed. Charlie quickly stood up, ran as fast as he can and swung his sword horizantally but Aiba blocked it with his katana. Aiba made a counter-attack by swinging his sword upwards, docks, and jabbed Charlie with his right fist on his stomach.
Charlotte walked backwards while taking a quick glance on his stomach and looked back at Aiba with a mad face, "I'm currently not at my best but you made me go at my max potential!" yelled Charlie,
"If only I can show him that I'm better. But his combination of elemental abilities plus his katana makes him more better than me. I'll admit it, he's better than me when it comes into sword against sword combined with his elemental powers but I don't know yet if he knows hand-to-hand combat. Maybe I can remove his katana from his hands to make him un-armed but I saw him earlier summoning his katana, so that explains everything that fighting him with my Dual Hafleim Swords is useless even if my blades has fire on it. What can I do? Maybe I can use a combination of attacks so he'll get tired, I think I have more stamina than him that he'll get tired really quick. But I'm pretty sure it's also useless."[/i] Charlie kept thinking on what to do to overcome Aiba.
"I'm not going to kill you, you know I'm friendly so right now we're just having a friendly fight." said Aiba while laughing.
"Don't worry, I'm not worrying. I'm just planning a strategy." replied Charlie while scratching his cheek. "Wait, I noticed that he talks a lot instead of attacking aggresively. So if he talks a lot, then that means I should just focus in attacking than talking stuffs. Oh yes, I planned a strategy!"[/i]
Charlie felt happy that he constructed a strategy that might shut down Aiba. Charlotte walked slowly, suddenly he stopped walking and instead jumped. "Taste this!" yelled Charlie. He lifted his blades, as soon as he was going to land, he swung his blades vertically, Aiba defended himself with his katana by blocking the attack.
"Oh, a good attack, but you k-"
Charlie, while pushing his blades onto Aiba's katana, kicked Aiba's abdominal part where he forced him to fall on the land. "Oh don't you try to kill me! I'm an innocent person!" begged Aiba.
Aiba unsummoned his katana, Charlie was pointing the two of his sword in front of Aiba to scare him. "Kannagi, I'm pretty sure you just learned a lesson. That lesson I'm talking about is to 'stop talking a lot'." Charlie put his swords on his back, he held Aiba's left hands with his right hand and pull him to help him stand up.
"Thank you, we did a short but good fight. Well I think it's more of a boring fight than a good fight but whatever, well time to leave. Bye-bye!" said Aiba while turning back from Charlie and started walking.
"Wait!" yelled Charlie.
"Huh?" Aiba turned back to look at Charlotte.
"Good luck on your life! I hope you grow being a successful person! We'll meet again soon and we'll challenge again!' yelled Charlie with a smile and while waving his right arm .
Aiba smiled, waving back with his left arm, turned back again and started walking.
Pronounced as "HAF-LIME". The Hafleim Swords are two swords that was forged by J.H Jones (Joseph Hare Jones) in the year 1987 and gave it to Charlie's father, Roland Hyshards (Roland was a soldier when Earthwar started). In the year 2010, Roland gave the Hafleim Swords to Charlie as a gift for Charlie to use it as a training sword in the TWSUSA. When Charlie retired in TWSUSA, he went to Tokyo, Japan and joined as a student in The Sword Academy. His master, Yasuke Hidari, re-forged the sword by improving its sharpness. After re-forging it, it was unknown on how Yasuke added fire around the two blades.
The fire around the two swords don't stay there for infinity but instead it can be removed when Charlie whispers three words: "Fire be gone", when he wants the fire to return he would whisper "Fire unleash", these words was taught to him by Yasuke. What's the purpose of the fire for the Hafleim Swords? Simple, the answer is: improved damage.
