here are the steps...
NOTE: i am just showing the legs movements, because thats my style, i draw the legs, add a layer, add the body, etc.
alright so lets begin:
take the brush (or line) and draw a normal leg stance.

now you can see the right leg straightening out and the left leg bending a little.

now the left legs is taking off, and the right legs is still straightening out.

ok, now we see the left leg coming off the ground, and the right leg starting to push off.

alright, now hes charging up for his leap,his right leg is now behind the left, and the left is... i dont know how to explain but i think you can see.

aight, now hes jumped, but not to high of the ground.

now he is coming down for the landing.

he has landed, and is starting to bend his legs a bit.

okay, finally the last frame of the cycle. he is just straightening out his left and right leg.

YAY. congratulations. and please note, this is JUST A TECHNIQUE I USE FOR RUNNING, I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS HOW YOU RUN LIKE IT OR NOT.
