Yeah, I know my proposals are generally pretty bad. But you all know I make them any way. So here's another one.

Whenever you guys post threads on strategy discussions, every so often a 1300 or 1500 or 1700 comes in with a comment that you would consider irrelevant to 2200+ play. I realize that this might be annoying to some of you, and I know that it definitely annoys the new players when they pop in with a comment only to get what amounts to a chorus of boos.

Therefore, I propose that, before making a thread on strategy (or discussions of strategies) we include in the title what rank it is intended for.

For example: A 2200 talking about some slight change making a huge change to the meta could start a thread titled: XXX change breaks game (2200).

While a 1500 looking for ways to counter shadow mass could go:

Counters for Shadow Mass (1500)

This way, people would immediately know what to expect before clicking into a thread. You would immediately understand that the early-game tips thread was by a 1500 targeting those around his own level; and you would not rage at the perceived idiocy of an archer-sword start on Grass Hills. A 1200 player would know that a thread titled (XXX 3000) does not contain crazy gibberish from noobs, but actually contains information about the equally crazy gibberish that goes on in the 3000s.

I have no idea if this would be difficult to implement; but it's just a thought for how the forums could be more harmonious. As things stand, there are sometimes huge gaps between the skill levels of new posters and regular posters, and there is no way to notice the gap by either side until a post, shattering the peace on the SE forums, has been made.

A thread similar to this has been made.

http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?79942-Should-we-have-a-format-for-posting-strategies

We have all agreed, but no one took the offensive of posting the format itself.

Sounds good, I think it'd be cool.

I can do that. I'll start a post and people can add what they think should be in it and discuss.

EDIT: Here you go.
