I'm sure there are a dozen threads about this already, but they're all probably buried in all the threads. The name is self explanatory: what do you think is the best empire--Order, Chaos, or Elementals?

Quite a typical thread. What kind of best are we talking about? Best in overall?

As a personal preference? Chaos.
As for best over all as far as game balance goes? Order.

order can strike a balance to face the other two empires

for other two empires, chaos is good at facing order in long/mid map but not short , while elemental is good at facing chaos in short/mid but not long

so I would say order is the so-called "best" in my mind

Empire used + Preference: Order
Balance: Order
Coolness Factor: Chaos

Chaos lacks the early game opportunities of Order and Chaos, as well, I don't really like the themes of it. Also, ranged zombies. Wat?

I like Order more than the Elementals because they seem to be able to do a lot with what they have, with Elementals, so far it seems that the Blind Gate is useless, the Scorch is an example of "Awesome, yet impractical" to an extent. There seems to be too much reliance on the Treature. With Order you can effectively use a larger variety of armies.

I think Elemental is a really cool empire and really stands out differently compared to Order and Chaos. It can combine elemental units you have to make stronger ones. it's pretty cool feature to me, although is nothing too new.

there is no problem with EL far as im concerned youy have to remember there at a handicap cuase they don't have unit hotkeys like order or chaos (if you use unit hotkeys anyway then is a handicap) but biggest thing is the tree ent start vs chaos that really hard to counter for chaos and some thing maybe need to be buffed or debuffed to help chaos out alittle

C'mon, they're so much fun to play as. Plus Medusa Spam is hilarious.

He said best, not which we like the most. I love playing as chaos, but order is the best overall.

For Opness, I say elementals. I think elementals are stronger than order and chaos but not super broken. They could use a small nerf.

Chaos is a little Up in my opinion.

I think Elemental will be the best (to enjoy playing) once meta becomes a little more varied and the annoying aspects like Treature rushes are settled. I kinda groan whenever I gut put up against Chaos because Chaos forces you to keep your army split up and totally destroys you for massing, against Order and Elemental you don't have that pressure in the mid & early game, I enjoy playing against Order and Elementals, but Chaos isn't so fun for me to play against. You have to do way more micro just to compete the moment AoE gets involved, and I don't like that throwing a whole game during the early stages.
