When you export your movie, Do you get muffled sound that lowers the quality of the animation you just slaved over for hour upon hours?

WELL WORRY NO MORE, Because this tutorial will tell you how you can fix this.

Step One-
Image
In Flash 8, go to file > "Publish Settings"

Step Two-
Image
From there go to "flash" as indicated, then go down to where it says "Audio Stream" and then hit "Set"

Step Three-
Image
Set all the settings to the above shown. Then hit OK.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHECK BOX IS ENABLED WHEN YOU ADJUST THE BIT RATE TO A PROPER SETTING.

Step Four-
Image
Go down to the selection under neath, click set.

Step Five-
Image
Repeat step Three.

The final product should look something like this:

VIOLA, When you export your movies, the quality is crystal clear.

Dont mean to be a bugger, but can this be moved to the Official tutorials section please? Thanks. :3

funny you should mention sound quality. because in the Albuquerque animation on newgrounds' commentary that i watched cuz i was bored, he said that big mp3 audio files in flash like that 11 minute comedy standup thing/song tend to lag after long term holding. he said if you want it to stream perfectly you should switch it to ADCMP or something. its a 5 letter capital thing that starts with A is all i know. so yeah, you may want to add that if you have a long audio file you may want to change it to that.

Excellent, just what I needed. I always thought that I would be doomed with terrible quality no matter what I did.

But, would a preloader be needed if you have a lot of sounds at this quality? Will the animation slow up at times?

Better sound quality WOULD increase the filesize considerably; yes. Although I guess it would depend on the size of the rest of the movie. I always set the bit rate to just 48 or 56 kbps instead of the maximum 160, and it sounds just fine without making the file size too large. But I'd still use a preloader just in case.
