Hello. I am a new animator and I am trying to transition from a pivot animator to a better program. I was originally exited about using Adobe Flash. However, I have heard that it is on its way out. Also, the version I have (CS4) is very buggy. It crashes always. I was wondering what other people would recommend for animating that is like Flash but isn't buggy. Please recommend.

DEFINITELY Macromedia Flash Pro 8.
Almost everyone on the forums uses it and famous animators use it as well.
In fact here is some videos made on that exact program:

And another side note. Flzash 8 wasn't used to make humongous minute long projects. When the file size increases so does the amount it crashes.
I recommend buying flash cs 6 for the least crasshy experience.

If you're planning to do a lot of joint stuff/making a lot of collaboration parts, then I'd suggest Flash 8. The majority of the community uses this version, so you'll be able to send file ans whatnot a lot quicker to each other!

Sadly, Flash 8 isn't available on the official site, and the company that created it no longer exists, so I prefer you buy it on Amazon or eBay. Just don't pirate it. :)
