I just got back from Chicago, where I went to get a medical confirmation of it.

2 curves of the spine, upper one is 25 degrees, bottom is 29. My case is considered "mild", which is 15-25 degrees. Moderate would be 30-40, so I'm pretty close to it. No medical complications, but this still sucks.

On an unrelated note, the tower that transmits my internet connection is having technical problems, so I won't be online much for about a month. Just letting anyone who might care know.

I have minor scoliosis, too. It's not noticeable at all, but I should be about an inch taller than I am right now.

A doctor NEEDS to tell you if you have it or not. Just because you're short doesn't mean you have it. And btw, I know you don't have it because your post made no sense.

Damn shorties.

Well that bites. But considering you haven't really noticed it before I don't think it'll be that big of an issue and it'll probably become better know that you're aware of it.

Sucks about the tower connection to. Get a modem like a normal person, you slouching freak! =P

Wow, that really sucks.

Also, just because it sounds similar, there's a 50% chance that I might have tuberculosis. Took a x-ray yesterday and waiting for the results :/

oh shit

isn't that pretty extensive surgery to get rid of that?
I don't really know anything about it other than what it looks like, and I think I remember someone posting here about having it, and getting surgery to fix it up

I dont know how much it costs because I havent been to a doctor about it. Im hoping the free healthcare thing in Canada will cover it but I doubt it because it will probably fall under cosmetic surgery.

Anyways, back on topic. Does scoliosis affect walking/running?

Your lucky your not a girl. If girls get any type of scoliosis they need surgery... My cousin when she was younger and she many surgeries.

Haha. At least my deformity is cool.

When it's just minor it doesn't really do much does it?

Well, you can see it.. the whole left side of my back sticks out farther than my right, but it's nothing you'll notice unless you're actually looking for it. My left side of my hip is 5 mm higher than the right, and my left shoulder is about half an inch higher than the right.

It's nothing serious, it doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort, and I don't play any contact sports. I'm done growing so there won't be any progression/regression, so that's nothing to worry about.

So no, no surgery. And for those of you googling "scoliosis", the images that come up are usually very severe cases. Don't think it looks like that.
