I finished this today
http://sta.sh/01dhhbzlrcxe
I used this as a reference
http://sta.sh/018uftsebl6q

Now I am aware of that if using a picture a a reference you're suppose to change things like clothes, hairstyle.
The reason I redraw it exactly the same is because I treid to see if it would help me understand how folds are responding with the body
and if it would help me with hair in the future.
Take it as an exuse if you want, it probably is :I
I didn't trace this however.
CnC would be highly appreciated. c:
Next drawing I'll do, I'll try to do my own clothes and hairstyle.

Are you Janimate? If so then hey I'm Xeno on the Dojo.
Anyway it looks great just the hand is a bit off. Try redoing it.
It's good to practice drawing by using refrences as it gives you good habits as far as basics.

You improved, keep it up. And you are right, drawing from reference does help. Usually though when you draw from reference you don't color it or lineart it, you constantly do it through sketches and studies. Just a tip.

I think there's a gradient in your ref pic that gives it a depth. Maybe try adding that in your digiArt too? :)
Pretty neat work btw, keep it up!

I for one don't think that completely redrawing something that's already been done will help you when you draw your own art straight off the top of your head, so in my opinion, I don't think that you're really learning anything here, but everyone learns in different ways so I don't know, maybe you absorb techniques like this.
That being said, for something completely drawn off something else, I don't see how you made so many mistakes
Granted, they are minor mistakes (like the clothes on her arms, her left hand, her overly thick neck, the lumpy hair shading, and an overall absence of details) they shouldn't have happened with such a straight forward point of reference and it says something about the way you perceive things, and that in itself might be your biggest problem with your future drawings, but I don't know what to tell you about how to fix that or anything, I can only point it out
I used to(and still do to some extent) have the same problem, and it goes away the more you draw

Very nice work. You've improved a lot. However, I'd advise you to reference from an actual photograph rather than from a picture that has already been drawn. I've noticed my pictures come out a lot better when I do that. When you reference from other people's drawings, you tend to not notice anatomical mistakes/copy the artist's character anatomy in an awkward way. If you're looking for anime-esque poses, just look for high quality anime cosplay pictures.
