So this problem has been frustrating me since 2 days ago.
I have Flash 8 and CS6 and both just crash as soon as I create a new document. I already tried googling about this but none of the so called solutions have worked so far. Can anyone help me out here?

Did you try uninstalling and re-installing either?
That's about all I can contribute

Also, restart you computer a few times, and if nothing else, try to reset your computer to a date earlier than when this started to happen.

I have had the same problem with cs5. Usually i close all other applications and unplug my qintic then start flash. Then i have to wait for few minutes before opening my project or flash will crash. I also have asked it many times here and searched google for answer but nobody has so far given any helpful solutions.

I fixed it again by installing yet another version of java runtime enviroment. Dont know for how long it will work but we'll see. This is the only solution I could find on google.

Well, sorry for double posting but the problem is back. It still happens on Flash 8, CS6 and an older version of CS3 that I still had. I dont think it has anything to do with the preferences settings in Flash because it happens on every version of Flash I have on my laptop, does anyone know what Flash actually uses to run?
I already tried fixing this by completely uninstalling java, cleaning my laptop with my virus scanner and multiple retstarts but it just keeps coming back.
Here's a list of things I tried
-Restarting my laptop multiple times
-Reinstall/uninstalled Java RE multiple times. (this seems to fix it for a day, and the next day the problem is back)
-Scanned my PC, cleaned up alot of shit
-Updated my drivers and everything
as far as I know, it has nothing to do with preference settings in flash since it happens on every version of flash I have. I don't think reinstalling one of the versions will work either

okay. try to roll back your computer. look for rstui.exe and run it. I have not a clue what to do after so just go online and check out how to system restore your computer for whatever windows operating system you have.

I tried that but I can only roll it back for like 5 days, and it had already happened then. Anyways, it seems like constantly re-installing and uninstalling the java thing and rebooting seems to fix it for just that day I install java so i'll just do that for as long as it works.
