Personally I think more of this should be handled off these forums anyway (as having 2 threads for this seems a bit like spam and unnecessary), but it's too late to change now.


I also want to propose that for the next round of pools, players should say whatever they need to before the game, and then start it without any game communication. There's a few reasons for that. It does help keep a clear screen and it's less distracting when I stream and upload to YouTube, but the big kicker here is language. I've already seen a lot used even after CJ and I both talked about how there can't be any foul languages in the matches, they must be clean!!! I cant' stress how important it is if we really want to impress our viewers and keep things professional.

Following now, NO MORE TALKING IN GAME. Save it before and after the game. I doubt anything you need to see in a match is dire important anyway. Please follow this and we can have a quality stream event. Thank you.

Thanks to all those who finished quickly! For those with unplayed games, please try to finish up for the sake of completeness - we owe CJ and Brock the replays, for the prizes they offered. However, because the entire round 2 field is set, we are going to officially open round 2 play today. It took us 5 days to complete round 1 - this round should be easier, so let's try to get this one done in 3-4. We are going to attempt to live stream the finals this weekend, if at all possible - I'd like to know who is in it ASAP to try to coordinate.

That being said, CT only has to win 1 game against Lazar to get up to 6 points, but still, there isn't yet enough information to determine the people who advance from group 1, is there?

we're having power cut issues cuz of thunderstorms. yesterday power went of like 25 times in 12 hours. i should be okay but i'm afraid if the power goes off when we are playing a tourney match it'll be counted as a loss for me :( i was hoping i might be able to get a lag out exception, if i am winning or something. is it possible?

nice catch saint! really appreciate you checking that over :)

that said, you are absolutely correct, daz has 5 points. however, the tie breaker is the head to head matchup. because CT beat daz head to head, CT wins, even if they are tied 5-5. so, CT remains the 2nd place winner from that group.

creating an exception would be fairly unorthodox. but, i will think about it, it would be a shame to have weather affect the outcome of the tourament. if the game ends in 15s or less, its already in the rules that a redo is in order.

a full blown "lag out exception" where lagging out always results in a redo, is probably out of the question. what might be possible is, if you are winning big time, clearly have the upper hand where it is beyond shadow of a doubt that you had no incentive to lag out, it might result in a rematch instead of a loss. how long do you expect power problems for? i could maybe give you an exception through tomorrow or something? maybe even for 2 days? you'd have to tell your opponent up front and give them the opportunity to play you at another time, if they didn't want it.

ill update later tonight with my decision.

edit: because im afraid of the pandoras box this will open, not because i really think this particular request is unreasonable, i am going to say no. sorry. i am pretty confident you will make it past this round even if you lose a game from a power outage, so im hoping even if it happens, its without consequence... if the weather is bad at the time you are playing and you want to make this request of your opponent, you are certainly welcome to do so.
