My personal favourite is gin, but I admit it's an acquired taste. And it depends on the gin, of course. A bad gin is little more than paint stripper. But give me a glass of Hendricks over any vodka any day.


Random fact for today: In constructing this poll I was interested to learn that sambuca was a liqueur rather than a spirit.

Tequila

I have only drank Vodka before... (Personally felt like vomiting after drink 5 mililiters)
But since its the only one i've tasted before, I have to choose VODKA

Rum is the only one I can drink on the regular.

I'm pretty sure jagermeister is a liqueur, so I'm going to have to go with whiskey seeing as it's my main go to and suits most of my moods.

One of my lecturers is adamant that the only reason I don't like vodka is because I haven't had 'proper' vodka, so can anyone here vouch for expensive proper Russian 0 degree Celsius vodka?

I have a taste for rum, but simply because of a rum and coke. I usually can't take these spirits straight, a chaser is always needed for me.

What's an ouzo? Is that like sake? Sake is cool. I love it. Specially the rice wine variety.

I love Bailey's, or whatever it is you call mixing chocolate milk with alcohol. Vodka and Rum are okay but they just taste like cough medicine to me

I'm not sure what ouzo is made from. I just know that I had some in Romania and it was an experience I am in no hurry to repeat. And I forgot Sake was a thing.

Ok, I just went and checked. Apparently sake is fermented from rice rather than distilled, so it doesn't technically count as a spirit. Ouzo is flavoured with aniseed which goes some way to explaining why I didn't like it. Popular in Greece and Cyprus, if wikipedia is to be believed.
