So, basically, just tell us your PC specifications, (Or mac, idk,) and include a screenshot or two of ur BEST possible graphics. (Preferably a game like Watch Dogs or Crysis 3/2)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 480
Intel i7 2600k
Playin' Watch Dogs on ultra baby! (Textures and AA are just high D: )
40+ FPS
1920x1080

Best possible graphics?
Anyone can get best possible graphics. It's the best possible playable graphics you're looking for. And that variable varies from person to person. Some people may be fine playing Minecraft at 25 fps with tuned down graphics, some people may aim for 60+ fps on Planetside 2 on ultra graphics.

You know perfectly well what i mean.
You can't aim for 60 fps on Planetside 2 on some old 2004 laptop.
Seriously guys, can u just follow the line and post the screenshots without complaints? My God...

Holy shit, you completely misunderstood.
Firstly, I wasn't complaining. I was just stating that your "best possible graphics" statement was confusing, and as a matter of fact, I do NOT know what you mean at all.
I CAN get Planetside 2 running at ultra. Catch is that on ultra, it'll run at 5 fps. 10 fps tops. But hey, you said best possible graphics, not gameplay.
Also, let's just assume that you meant "highest possible graphics running at a playable fps". Then, yes, that might work, but there's another problem: different games have different optimization. Planetside 2 optimization is terrible, with horrible graphics at low and still on average 20 fps (1280x730 resolution), even with only 50% render resolution. Warframe, however, has awesome optimization, and even with all graphics set to lowest, it still looks awesome as fuck and still runs at around 30 fps for me (1280x720 resolution). Don't even get me started on Minecraft.
Point is, assuming that you actually really meant "highest possible graphics running at a playable fps", do you want us to screenshot a really well optimized game (Warframe) and give off an impression that I have a really good computer, or a really graphics-heavy game (Crisis 3 / Planetside 2 / Battlefield 3 etc.) and give off an impression that I have a terrible computer?
Also, for accuracy, we should state or show the framerate we were playing at when the screenshot was taken, as well as the resolution. Just saying.

Let me get this straight.
You do know perfectly well what I mean, unless I overestimated you. Poppetje, (I'm very grateful to him for being the first actual participant in this conversation) seemed to get it atleast.
Since I'm the only one who is actually bound to the punishment of reading that long and terrible post, I might Aswell answer it. When I say "possible," I refer to the topic of the post, or to the standard best abilities of your rig. standard.
I do not believe you did not get it, unless you were ignorant enough not to look at my example where I say that my anti-aliasing and textures are just high. This automatically means that I meant graphics at which the game can actually be pleasant to your eyes without killing you with the FPS. Does that make sense?
As for the optimization, this is a post of showing your best. This is obvious. Want to show Warframe ?
GO AHEAD
Wanna show 2006 NFS Carbon which looks like bullcrap and lags on GTX 480?
GO AHEAD
I'll take your suggestions tho

hohoho

there was a time at e3 2013 that the game actually had decent graphics. Those graphical downgrades are jimmey compromising.

Actually it was E3 2012. Also fun fact: about a week ago some "modders" found out that the good graphics were in the game files all along and they released a mod of it to get it working. So that's a thing

Well, I apologize for the fact that on my terrible computer on which games can never run on medium, I never reach high or ultra and can not distinguish between the two.
So, no, in fact, I did not understand what you meant, and I have absolutely no idea how you assumed that I did.
Sorry that I managed to anger you with my confusion and lack of experience with playing high-end games on high-end graphics. I have no idea that such an innocent misunderstanding can piss you off so badly. I'll try to butter my questions up and sprinkle some sugar on it next time I talk to you so I wouldn't get my head torn off from your volatile rage.

And, as requested, my computer.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 3.30 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
GPU: Intel HD Graphics
Screen: 1440 x 900
I always play my games on windowed mode, usually on 1280 x 720 resolution.
Shown here is me playing Warframe, with all graphics turned down. Managed to hack into and get several fusion MOAs to help.
Solo missions usually run at 35 fps. Multiplayer missions around 27 fps. 10-20 fps on Earth jungle tilesets.
