This is an idea btw.
Mechanical Empire are empires that uses tools and raw materials to create war machines.
Statue:

Units:
Laborer-Mines poorly but can turn into militia to defend.
-1 training slot

Grenadier-Throws Rocks(and other cool things), but extremely vulnerable.
-1 training slot

Clockwork Soldier-A robot that deals little damage, but has decent health. Uncontrollable.
-1 training slot

Wall Wheeler-A small wooden wall with wheels. High health with low damage & speed.
-2 training slots

Engineer-Repairs Mechanical units and can construct costly towers.
-2 training slot

Siege Tower-A Mobile Tower that houses units. Ranged Units can fire. Can only be constructed by Engineers.
-45 seconds per engineer

Dual Shieldager-Armored soldier with good health and fast attack speed.
-3 training slot

Clockwork Titan-Armored Clockwork Soldier with huge firepower.
-4 training slots

Technology: Unlike the 3 other races, Mechanical uses a technology tree to research.

There are 12 different research available. The player starts with 3 available research projects. The player need 1 unlocked per tier to access the next tier.

First Tier:
Militia-Laborers grab weapons from castle and become militia.

Assembly Line-Trains 2 units simultaneously.

Hard Push-Wall Wheelers have the ability to push faster, but become slow and unable to attack after the ability ends.

Second Tier:
Absorb-Controlling the center increases training speed by 10%.

Advance Engineering-Engineers can construct Titans & Siege Towers.

Fire bombs-Grenadiers have splash Damage projectile ability that burns enemies and allies alike.

Third Tier:
Increased Capacity-Mobile Tower can now hold 4 men from 3.

Unstable Clockwork-Clockwork soldiers a

Expanded Factory-Trains 4 units simultaneously

Fourth Tier:
Crush-Titan deals splash damage with every step.

Frenzy-Dual Shieldager attacks faster at the cost of health.

Steam Age-Trains 6 units simultaneously.

There will be no other empires. It's a creative idea, but it won't happen.

Is it really that far fetched to think the Devs might want to make another team or two later?

Yes. Creating the Elementals took them around a year--a fourth empire would take a massive amount of work. They've got plenty on their plate right now--balancing elementals, first of all, and then there are new features they plan to implement (clan options, new map types, global spells). Moreover, do you realize how much balancing a fourth empire would entail? Right now there are 6 matchups to balance out--OvO, OvC, OvE, CvC, CvE, and EvE. With a fourth empire the number of matchups would increase to 10--nearly double the current amount. And "another team or two"--making two new empires would require not only around 2 years of work, it would also increase the number of matchups (and thus the work required to balance) by 150%.
I'd like to also mention that 3 is a very nice number, and it makes sense to keep the number of empires at 3 for aesthetic reasons. So no, there almost certainly won't be a fourth empire.

Do you guys at least like my designs? It took me 1 hour to make the Wall Wheeler, but it should probably take me 30 minutes the next I make something similar.

5 is a nice number too. Aesthetically.

seriously tho, No hurry. I expect them to be working on the game for years, as long as they continue to enjoy it and make money off it

Good Laborer huh? It uses mana as electricity, but inefficient; however, it uses so little, its almost unnoticeable.
Took me 25 minutes. I used most of the time working on that basket and mana drill.
