Just finished watching it for the first time.
I think it's the most incredible film I've ever seen in my entire life.

ANyone catch the references in Wall-E?

The light on the little robot that steered the ship and shit was the same one that HAL had in 2001. He also said a lot of things from 2001and there were a lot of other visual references to the film.


Also, HAL was the inspiration for GlaDOS in Portal.

Did anyone else get really scared at some points during the film?
I did.
Especially when he was in that room, looking at that old guy, and then he suddenly was the old guy.

Yeah, the ending was fairly creepy.

Oh god, and that music was the most eerie shit ever.

Incredible movie. ****ing confusing as shit, but fantastic.

Ha, the ship in Futurama is modeled after HAL. The red eye is the same and when they had to shut down the ship after she went crazy for Bender looks similar to when HAL was shutdown.
