Usually don't get interested by the last RHG battles, but I'm gonna vote in this one (since I had an eye on Mimics from right when he made his RHG), plus adding my own opinion on both animations
What I like
Mimics' one
I kinda like it. What you didn't put in action you added in mood, presentation, background, smoothness, fluidity and coreography: because of that, I see a great potential that, if well developed, will surely be remembered or looked up to. It seems that you mastered smoothness and fluidity on a good grade and know well how to combine music and mood together (even though the coreography was a little off in some points, but whatever). Also, even though you executed only a single combo, it was well made and the dialougues (coreography) were good (or almost)
Jazzon's one
You surely put more action than Mimics and made some nice combos. Also, I liked your idea to use the old classic "pit falling battle" (nowadays they're all areal ones (or at least this it what it seems to me))
What I dislike
Mimics' one
Following a good presentation there should be a good fight and by good fight I mean an interesting one: there are too many dead points in yours and thus it isn't that intriguing. Also, the background isn't accurately reported (missing of scenery in some parts, wrong point-of-views in others, ecc.) and the scarf disappeares a lot in the animation
Jazzon's one
The animation is quite choppy: neither fluid, neither smooth. Plus, you didn't take in consideration the concept of weight, since I don't read between your RHG's abilities the fact that he has enough strength to easily manouver a sword that big. Even though your background is more detailed than Mimics' one, you should have removed the blue outlines. There are too many dead points in your fight too that make it unappealing (too many slow motion moments, too many close ups, ecc.) and, lastly, the song doesn't mix up well with the mood and the dialogues are banal
What you should work on
Mimic
You have the potential, but I don't know if you don't just know how to do some things or if you didn't have time to do them/got lazy, thus I can't give a proper answer. Just remember that once the fight starts, you should never put something that makes it lose its rythm, unless the music synchronization forces you to do so. Even in such an event, try not to stop the flow. Lastly, making some effects surely doesn't ruin your progress
Jazzon
Try to work more on your smoothness and fluidity, since "even the eye wants its part". Going on,take in consideration the same thing I wrote to Mimic about animation flow (plus, work a little more on music choice). Lastly, work on your dialogues: the old "let's battle" and such are banal; remember that an RHG battle is about 2 people trying to kill (or beat) each other, thus act with regard to it
The most important (for both)
Always spend a lot of time and efforts on the little things, since it's thanks to them that an animation becomes really good and appreciated
Final Response
I vote for Mimic
