Sorry, I didn't realise memes aren't everybodies humor.

I'm starting a big project today, war based. It's for a good friend so it will probably be my most impressive animation so far. (Hopefully), same drill, posting here when it is completed.

He his not really my RHG anymore. I made him up when I was still pretty new at animating, I realise now that he is an incredible pain to animate. x) You may notice the black stick figure is in a lot in my newer animations, I'm probably going to design a RHG off that since I'm so comfortable with the style now. Not sure when I'll change it, but I'll do it sometime.

Hi Nafter! Its your lucky day!

Apocalypse,
This animation was not really good, I have a few reasons why.
This started off really serious, bloodsplatters everywhere. It looked like it was going somewhere! Then the lazy animation part threw me totally off. After that part I was like what the fuck is this shit.

So storywise plotwise, it sucked.

Lets look at the actual quality of the animation, I was impressed at your starting title. Nice use of effects and nice build to suspense, I felt like this was going somewhere really cool!
Then I saw the background. First looks looked like there was a mass shootout, a horrible thing has happened. It looked nice. Now there are a few issues with the background but nothing really significant. For the bloodtextures. some had texture strech, that means you can see the pixels because you made a texture bigger then the texture originally is. You can fix this by simply not make it bigger or by downloading bigger Canvas of the actual texture. I recommend never making textures bigger then they originally are. making them smaller is fine.

Now, im not gonna continue C&Cing this on because ill come over ass a douchebag if I do that. Hehe!

Humor stuff,
I dont even...
It made me smile a little, but I am assuming you are practicing here and you are not really trying to accomplish something serious here. So im not criticizing this.

Pink ninja,
Wow! That background looked sick! This is a cool one man, sad that it is so short. Maybe do something serious with pink ninja?

Cheers,

Thanks. I was aware of most of this. Quite a lot of it is a loss of interest and that's why a lot of the time my animations are short and don't make too much sense. I was quite disappointed in Apocalypse myself. It is quite incomplete, but I still feel that I have improved from it in some way.

I agree that Humor Stuff was weird. That was just my inner 5-year old at play. I had a lot of fun with it and was mainly grasping comedy animation. I guess it's a half point since I made you grin, aye?

Glad you liked the background. I admit that I'm a rather experienced graphic artist, so at the moment I can create a pretty not bad background when I feel like it. More a less I've been more experienced in creating textures for games and personal practice etc, so the change to making weapons and all of that is quite weird, but I'm getting used to it.

I appreciate all if this, but what I'm looking for here is maybe some tips and tricks on animating the actual stickfigures? You may have noticed that there's minimal movement overall, but when they do move it is quite smooth. This is because I'm using a mouse at the moment and it is a relatively slow process to do a whole bunch of animating fbf. So I did happen to see the new animation that you released with Mic. It was pretty awesome. I noticed that there was a lot going on viewing it a frame at a time. I know how it is trying to give tips to people though, nothing really comes to mind, I understand that. I've been able to figure out a few of the tricks so far and I'm improving. But I mean, if you have anything that you could possibly see that I am lacking in my movement? This is mainly what I'm itching on at the moment simply because I'm one of those guys that is just has to have it perfect.

One other thing that I have to ask is if you find the stickfigure style apealing or not? I really enjoyed looking at like the super classical stick figure that you would always draw at school and such, so I thought it would be cool to animate the same way? I don't know really, I thought that it would just be something that everyone can relate to.

Sorry if this is a lot to answer to, but I have a chance to ask an experienced animator, so thought I may as well make the most of it.

Movement works most with physics and making them look smooth. When you walk forward you not only move your feet but you move your whole body with it, to balance. Keep that in mind when you work on movements. Try to keep them smooth and then it probably wont look stiff. I use mouse for sticks too, I like the line tool more for mouse. But brush has his charm too. Its all personal taste. Your style looks good enough man! Keep it up, if you later dont like it then change it. I dont think it looks bad at all. Looks just fine.

The main idea is just practice. You will have to practice alot to get movements right. I havent really found any major shortcut.. If anyone did, please tell this guy.
