I know that this idea is not entirely original. Jutsu's 'Game of the gods' thread gave me the idea of hiding things in the forums. I liked the idea, so I planned my own searching game.
General Idea:
There will be a secret word at the end of the hunt that you must find. Once you find it, you can send me the word in a PM.
Prizes:
1. Nothing much
2. Pride (and bragging rights)
3. The names of the first five/ten (it depends on how many participate) users who complete this will go in a list in my signature titled "Beautiful Minds"
*Note: If you want your name in the list to be bold, include the quotes of all of my clues in the PM.
Things that You Need to Know:
- The clues have been hidden in old posts around the forums. Some of the harder ones are in threads that are a bit old.
- The clues will follow the following format:
*A link to a Wikipedia article*
*A hint to find the forum section that the next clue is in*
*A hint to find the thread that the next clue is in*
*The page number that the clue is on in the thread*
- "A link to a Wikipedia article? What do I need that for?"
Well, you must find the first two digits in the Wikipedia article. Exclude any zeros. This means that you're looking for the first two [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] digits (in number form, not letter form). Start searching at the first bolded phrase or word. Pay no attention to any of the extra things in the article that are in boxes. Focus only on the body text.
Example:

The first two digits are 2 and 1. You'll want to write these numbers down because you'll need them later (not these numbers from the Gandhi article, but the numbers from the articles that you are going to find). For what, you will find out.
- The Wikipedia articles were chosen with the 'Random article' button on Wikipedia. The natures of the pages are not clues.
I know that Mods may have the ability to access my recent edits, so that is a downer. If that is true, it would be nice if any Mods that participate follow the clues instead. Use the forum's search functions, by all means.
All that is above is enough for you to begin. Any further instructions will be given in later hints. Happy hunting!
This thread can be used for questions, although I might not answer them. You can also post your progress, i.e., how many clues you've found or just that you're participating.
