It doesn't matter if he's friendly firing, he's pissing someone off as you say. If he isn't pissing anyone off then Ace is right and he isn't trolling anyone. I could be more wordy on it, but that's the definition plain and simple

I was playing TF2 the other day, and started telling this kid to go to bed, and acting like i was his older brother.

For some dumb fucking reason this kid got mad at me, and everybody else thought it was hilarious. Eventually I told him to call me, which he said he would to tell me he'd "Fuck my ass up"

Griefing assumes that your only purpose of doing it is to piss the other players off. Unconventional kills in the context that Jutsu mentions are often meant to be funny for both players or used as a strategy against tough-to-kill enemies. For example, I get a teammate to throw a sticky grenade on me, then I dolphin-dive headfirst into an enemy just before it explodes. I try to do this close to the end of the game so that everybody is laughing about it when the game ends. Or Jutsu's anti-tank crater.
