Oh I see how it is, when IHATETHISNAME is emphatizing to my reasons and when you're calling me out on it, it's not off-topic. But when I respond to you, suddenly it is.
Let's just forget about the whole 12-year old conversation that happened before I banned DAZ, because apparently that wasn't off-topic as well.
You are correct; I used to harp about how this place spamsalot and goes off-topic. But I've long since accepted that this part of the forum is different. Because if it wasn't, then we'd get a ton of minor spam infractions courtesy of you in the batcave, wouldn't we? Instead, we just get complacency. Perfectly acceptable complacency.
Well, for one, you didn't need to post in here when you, stupidly, banned DAZ, but you needed to bring extra attention to it, thus starting this. I mean hell, it's not like he was going to see the post, right? He was banned.
Anyway, while they were already going off topic, I actually was about to request them to get back on topic and stop joking about his age.
If you would like however, I will enforce the rules with strict prejudice, starting with some purple guy's posts. The infraction may go something along the lines of "After being request several times to stop going off topic, has made no attempt to stop, or even mention the original topic." While this is in fact off topic, at least I'm attempting to actually contribute to the general conversation of this topic, while you, are not.
If you would like to continue this, which I'm betting you would, I suggest we should move this conversation to a more, private messaging system.
Also, I wouldn't call it
complacency, more like, acceptance. Acceptance that this section of the forums is completely different than the rest of the forums in a sense that, they are about general things, animation, or specific writings, while this is about a specific strategy game with ever evolving strategies to match. Hell, you could go so far as to call this place it's own miniature community.
