that reason combined with the fact that a locked thread would be ideal to prevent idiots posting in it was what made me suggest the thread be run by moderators - locked, but freely edited by the mods to avoid that kind of delay which would make the thread redundant

How bout just say that you can't do it. Don't we have provisions for custom rules?

I editted the thread there to note that you cant discuss about the thread, so the mods can act on this rule when someone breaks it.

I honestly think Fusion's decision was pointless lol. He could have just stopped visiting the site if he didn't like it. Why put a restriction on himself? It's not like these forums are a drug or something.

I guess since Fusion would probably be tempted to visit this site again/post if he kept his account unbanned, he just want to make sure he was prohibited from ever visiting again by requesting his account to be banned. It's like confirmation that he won't come back to browse the forums and post again.

I have him on skype. Trust me, he's out of here.

And the point of the thread is to, well, inform other people if so and so is banned. They can refer to this thread instead of just posting why x is banned everywhere.

Sorry, but I don't know how you could have possibly missed the big SP BAN thread stickied up there and the first post that it contained, much less the first post of this thread and the conversation therein.
