- With the new armory coming out most likely tomorrow we came up with a bunch of small changes that can hopefully add up to better performance for those with slower computers and everyone overall. Many of these are from the Elementals because they naturally had more effects while animating them being the elements that they are.

Most notably:
1.The Scorpling deaths because they happen so often and potentially can have a ton of them at once; have been reduced so they don't spawn flowers.
2. The other big ones are reducing a lot of the regular stand animations from all the units and making them a single frame with minimal moment. For example the Treature used to stand still but his entire body would scale in size and move back and forth. Now he will stand still and blink. This kind of thing has been done for most of the units now.
3. Since there are usually many miners preying in most games I have removed the large alpha effects that may slow down the game, and replaced them with a more simple mana gain indication particle effect.
4. The Air elemental previously had a bunch of partials swirling around in his head, I changed this to a more simple lighting pulsing animation.

Elementals:

Scorplings death animations - reduction in flowers blooming and craziness.
Miners praying reduction in alphas and effects.
Reduction in animation particles on the fire elemental throwing the fireballs.
fire elementals take out yellow flame in head and replace with yellow dot.
Earth floating rocks too small to be seen make static.
Air elemental reduction in particle swirling too small to be seen.
Earth Elemental Stand animation minimized
Earth Elemental Punch detail minimized
Scorplings stand reduced
Air element has lighting in head instead of swirling air reduced layers of particals.
water elemental stand reduce tweens.
Make diff miner preying glow effect particles instead of alpha flashing
remove white dot from run fire.
tree Ent stand reduced to 1 still frame with eyes blinking
New fireball animation replaced and the other one archived with the same name with Old infront

Chaos:

Medusa stand reduced to 1 frame no tweens
Crawler stand reduced tweens to just head movement not body.
Miner reduced all alphas and particles and added new smaller particle

Order:

Miner reduced all alphas and particles and added new smaller particle

Then we will lose a lot of cool effects...
But it is true that the lag problem should be the first thing to be dealt with

Screw the cool effects, if I can run SE on my super-shit potato comp not just my other comp, then I'm down - and Eles had huge lag anyway.

i dont need beautiful screens

I only need a smooth game with fairness .

So if the lag does not exist, I will love so much

Maybe put all of this in LQ. Who knows, maybe someone with a super fast computer that can handle SE running at HQ exists.

that's cool.. it's good to see some anti-lag measures being used.

Good addition, But yeah I agree with Ai, Putting the good effects on HQ is always a good choice bcz many of the compls can run that and maybe u need to record the screen with a good effect if u have a higher-end comp

I'd much rather introduce an HQ+ for those effects, I don't want to have to lose the nice roundings on the stick figures if high stays with the old effects and I'm forced to drop down to medium just to get the fps gain off the coming patch.

On of the biggest misconceptions is that the LAG is because of our servers, Well the game severs never exceed 5% and therefore 100% of any lag in the games is solely the fault of the players internet connection and/or computer speed. If both players have good connections and computers you will never lag (unless your browsing to other window tabs). Most of the time the problem lies in that players have really cheep laptops with not enough ram, that have way to many programs installed and/or running.

The best things you can do if you do have a slow comp is, Make sure all your tabs are closed. Make sure you close all other programs. Close all bittorrent or file transfer programs. Toggle to Low quality. Finally click the - button to minimize the game screen size.

If after you do all that you still lag, then you might need to consider throwing your computer out a window ;) --- (Make sure the window is open)

Thought of putting minimum needed hardware settings for the game to run well somewhere that people can see it?
