Hi. I have roughly 15+ steam keys and would like to give them away. Please vote for a competition this community can partake in. Thank you. Our nominations are:

Rhythm Game Tournament
(OSU, Stepmania, etc.) - Natch. The games in the parenthesis are what you'll be fighting against.

RHG Tournament - The uhh highly improbable sought after RHG Tournament that needs not have any explaining.

SPEED RHG Tournament - A 2-3 hour Stick Animating comp for all you RHG-heads out there.

Cards Against Humanity - A game of improvisation and humor. Check out the ff LPs to find out how to play this simple game:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcVy8le8oyo
www.youtube.com/watch?v=21uTaFYn14M

Score Attack - An event I cooked up, concerning an attempt to ratchet up a highscore for at least 10 web games (1 per week) in a gauntlet-like fashion.

Alternative Writing Comp. - Anything story-related basically: A scifi writing comp. A poetry comp. A flash-fiction / on-the-spot prompt writing comp. All of the above is viable and will be discussed if this choice is chosen.

Rap Tournament - 8 or 16 people going back and forth with gradeschool rhymes and polls aplenty.

BoardGameOnline - An online, luck-based, screw-other-people, board game with lolz to be had.

Photoshop Comp. - Fun contest where users attempt to edit a single image in an attempt to make it more interesting or hilarious.

Remember to vote for something everyone can easily enjoy. This is for the community, and yeah I guess the satisfaction of getting some games for free but what's the point if you just won them without effort.

Finally, feel free to openly discuss any one of these noms. And if you have additional suggestions we'll take into consideration.

The idea of prizes might spur on an RHG tourney to actually finish so I vote for that, though a score attack might be more fair.

Define "fair". Fair in terms of the competitors' skill levels? Or fair in terms of that a Score Attack is a much more fitting event for piddly Steam Keys instead of actual cash?

A bit of both. Animation is a long process that a lot of people interested in this might not have time for right now. (Like myself.) While a score attack was a short thing I could occasionally compete in and have quite a bit of fun while doing it. Or we can just throw everybody into some kind of free battle royale game and the last man standing wins.

I knew it. An RHG contest would be satisfying but I seriously doubt people will motivate themselves for anything that isnt cash or a sponsorship around here.

A Rap contest would be the easiest way. And anyways, I have 15+ keys. It's not like I'm going to splurge all of them into 1 contest.

How bout a Photoshop contest?

I'm really just tossing ideas around.

How about a game within a game? Holding a myriad of contests with this thread being the central hub. That way, we can do Rap, Score Attack, Photoshop, etc. etc. Plus, it'll appeal to a variety of people with different skill sets. Besides, 15+ keys.

Oooooh. An art contest maybe? Could be fun and I haven't seen anything like that around (at least not recently.)

that is a good idea if there werent already games in the past drifting about. A game hub will just make games generic and unlikeable an experience. No, I wanna do one big thing. Stop. Then big thing again. It generates interest and doesn't make the prizes feel cheaper than they already are

boardgame-online? Uhhh okay.

Well we'll add it to the list of potentials. Though honestly, I'd like somethign a little more interactive in terms of the forum itself. I mean the prizes are the means, but the goals are still to have fun together and bond and shit

You'll never bond harder than through the dickish actions of boardgame-online. PREPARE FOR AIDS AND SHENANIGANS!
