My first impulse was to choose the Undo button, cleaning up mistakes and feeling like Garo was awesome but I chose the Ignore cap since it literally has no drawbacks; you can do anything you want and no one will bat an eye (if you aren't horribly reckless). My only question is that would it also apply to other kinds of presences like online presence?

In the case of online presence, no.

If I understand this correctly you could understand animals? Imagine being able to fully understand animals and speak back to them.

or yknow you could just do a Prince of Persia and the Sands of Time with the undo button and be the ultimate super soldier.

You've understood correctly.

And do beware of the 5 times per week limit.

Two things.

1. If you still effect the world around you, like for example murdered someone in broad daylight. Would that then mean that you could getaway with any crime you want due to that everyone will ignore?

2. If its the ignored cap then that means its ignored right? Doesn't that mean the person who gets the cap would ignore it and would never use it?

But Ignore cap is definitely the best choice of them all.

What Zed said was accurate.

And I've considered that, but it'd be to much of a nerf for the cap.

@Drone, you actually can set yourself to do a certain thing before locking your emotions. If not, why will anyone pick it? I've failed to specify this on the first post so I'm sorry.

It gives you a direct understanding of the words.
Yes.

Definitely the translation jelly in that case. It would end several massive debates within the philosophy of language about what certain words really mean, if they actually have any meaning at all, and where that meaning comes from. I would be a legend [within the relatively small global community that actually cares about this stuff].

I haven't quite determined which one is the least of all the evils, but I definitely think the cap and undo button would be bad choices.

The cap, namely, because anyone ever got a hand on it, and I don't mean Ocean's 11 heist, I mean just barrow it, I outright wouldn't care about it any more and lose it forever as I rudely ignored them until they left my house, probably not even leaving my hat behind considering my sudden jackassness.

The undo button on the other hand, because there's only so many times you can botch something before you give up on it entirely. If you've got 5 tries to get one task right, you'll feel like a failure when you were unable to, and additionally, it would give the people around you ungodly high expectations of you, and make you feel like the real you isn't good enough. I'll keep my scars and flaws, even if there are some things I wouldn't mind going back and fixing.

Maybe the jelly though. I wouldn't mind being able to cuss out everyone at McDonald's my last day at work and get away with it entirely scot-free.

Whoa the undo button doesn't make you perfect... You only get five uses a week so you use it when you need to not for every mistake

Even with the limitation of 5 times per week, I can still find uses for the Undo Button. There are just that few times when you know you've fucked up enough to think back on what you should have done and with it, you can.

Yeah I have those moments every now and then, like the time I stabbed you in that dark alley and the cops came... Undo button fixed that whole problem so now I have to replan out the new way to murder you

What if it only undid ten seconds and the police still arrived? You can't predict the effect.

No, how much it undoes is proportional to the severity of what you did, so in that case it would probably undo to before the event

I'd have to go with that ignored cap in case I do something embarrassing. I can then peacefully reflect on my life with out disturbance.

But technically if you did something embarrassing you could use the undo button too.
