I wouldn't have called it a failure. It lasted for +5 years and during that time span it was definitely successful.

A big number of the people on Stickpage right now were on fluidanims, in fact the main person running all the creative work on Stickpage is the same person who founded fluidanims, Stone.

If that's not enough for you, there's Hyunsdojo. Everyone keeps saying Hyunsdojo isn't Fluidanims but almost all the people there are from Fluidanims so it doesn't really matter. Both communities are more or less the same.
