EDIT: After skimming through the last couple of pages, I disapprove more of old members bashing on someone who's younger than them, foreign or both. Next time I'll be dishing out some infractions or bans for that instead, if necessary. There's nothing worse than a bunch of old farts thinking they're better than everyone else and shitting on kids who're just having fun. Which is what these forums are supposed to be here for anyway.

I mean I agree and I wouldn't go as far as issue infractions for puns, but let's be honest, puns, especially these ones, are incredibly low effort and annoying no matter how long you've been in the forums.

We could always do the ol' close the chat thread for a week and see what that does.

Since I was one of the people who made the puns an ongoing thing and a bit cancerous I will take an infraction as an example for those who drag it out too far. Honestly I regret a few of those attempted "puns". I'd rather see everyone try to keep a conversation going purely through Gifs. That would actually be pretty funny and interesting.

I like puns. But when the puns are low effort and repititive it gets really annoying, especially when it comes to my name. I've a group of friends that replace all words containing I's or Y's that sounds like Ai every time. It's funny at first but right now it's just cringy.

Well then don't give them any attention and move on, start a topic of your own. Mods are supposed to lead by example too after all. If people go UGH at the puns every time, it of course amuses the ones making them. But if you don't give them any feedback, they'll get bored. And it's better than actually punishing them for trying to have fun. I'm not going to shit on someone just because I don't feel like taking part in whatever they're amusing themselves with.

There's hardly a need to close the Chat Thread for a week, don't be silly.

There's no need for an infraction.

Oh how will we evoke a happy talk
where all that's said contain substantial thought
if we can't really call our banters fun
since it's completely filled with shitty puns?

Well I suggest a method fresh anew
It might be seen as dumb by some of you
but I am sure it's better either way
than letting cancer spread throughout the day.

So we will keep this place alive instead
but only let iambic poems ahead
to teach our friends on how to better think
before they post and spew their stupid shit.

Three, four-lined stanzas of iambic pentameter. It'll basically be a way of closing the chat thread unless someone legitimately wants to say something so badly that they're willing to put in the effort.

Honestly though I spent upwards of an hour writing this post and it's only after finishing it that I realized it's a dumb idea, so I'm still going to post it so that my 1+ hours of work doesn't completely go to waste.

Pardon, but I must inquire,
So the knowledge of the learned may be imparted into the squire,
If one has yet to understand the nature of the iambus,
How can he possibly hope to rephrase thus?

At least I tried.
And I only have 3 lines.
But please do not make me cry,
'Cuz stickpage takes up so much of my time.

Mantha. Your set intrigues me. Where is it from?

I know Mantha already replied, but you can use the image search feature on Google Images (the little camera icon) to see what someone's avatar or signature is.

And that's how Raptor feels.

Create a pun thread where all the children can slither into, then we set fire to it.

A pun, a limerick, and a play on words walk into a bar. No joke.
