I think it's cool, Ivan. Learning a second language is something 99% of English speakers never do because it's super hard

What do they need them for? They speak the most popular language. The greeks on the other hand must learn english. Greek isn't quite as popular and it is very hard for foreigners to learn it. Although english is quite easy. Νο cases, no genders for words. The vocabulary, syntax and grammar are quite simple.

that's because this forum's idea of entertainment is a girl making fairly easy insults toward children. one of our mods has a pokemon's ass front and center in his signature. nish isn't around much lately. even the forum games seem to have stopped. things are weird these days.

no one here comes here to talk about anything, and if they do it's usually just fucking boring. nothing of substance. the 1st page of general forum used to be completely different every week, literally 5-20 new threads every single day. the chat thread used to be impossible to keep up with. it's insane how much things have changed.

I just get the idea that most people come here these days to be entertained, not to mingle. gonna sound like an old fuck here but this new generation has no idea how to properly make use of the forum format. sometimes a cool topic comes up in the chat thread but for the most part it reads like a series of youtube comments.

maybe it's time to close the chat thread for a week again? most people agreed it was a success last time. just thinking out loud

Yeah I lurk here everyday looking for shit to talk about but there's absolutely nothing to discuss. Here let me start something:

Anyone got thoughts or opinions on Brexit? I'm not knowledgeable enough on internal EU/UK affairs to have any opinion I can support with evidence but I'd like to hear what you guys have got to say about it.

It's actually been a bit of a topic of discussion on Skype, but I'll give my same thoughts:

As an outsider looking in, I've got no real idea on the long term implications of it. That said, I do find interest and entertainment at looking at both sides of the conflict, especially since it seems many who voted to leave didn't even realize what the EU was. I also made a bit of a comparison between the UK and the US, in regards to our Independence Era. I'm kinda glad I'm around during this time to actually see how this plays out, since even if they do end up remaining (I've heard this is only advisory), the conflict and controversy stirred up by it won't fade quickly. And with David Cameron resigning, I'm interested in who the next PM will be, since this one won't be elected.

@Exile

Still buddies.

In a similar vein, however, any thoughts on the new Russian Surveillance Law that may be coming into place soon, or the "New Cold War" that may be taking place?

TDguy if Spanish is the easiest and popular ... but they are not all alike for example, in Spain say Hey Tio and Argentina say Hey Boludo or Chabon may be because you are the only ones in America who speak English apart from Canada and Jamaica , look I never offended the US love their country because they are my favorite singers :
Micheal Jackson and others and the food is incredible , just US is an ally of Argentina because Obama came to our country.
All your creepinbro , Azure , which sells hotdogs are all good people for us and Latin America would not be the same without us.

I guess I'll share though.

You haven't really mentioned much of an opinion, rather how you feel about it, and I agree it's going to be interesting to see how things play out.

From what I've read, the campaigns from both sides used catchy and inaccurate tactics to rile in votes, and the whole thing is a clusterfuck because no one knows who to trust. Personally I think leaving the EU won't have any negative effects on the UK, so I guess I'm hoping this new decision will fix any major issues that were hard to deal with while in the EU.

Yeah I have an extremely vague opinion on all of this, idk.

Also, what are you talking about when you mentioned a "Russian Surveillance Law"?

Well, the drop in currency and issues with Scotland and Northern Ireland seem like they'll play out poorly for a bit, but who knows? As for the surveillance thing, this is what I meant: http://www.dailydot.com/politics/encryption-backdoor-russia-fsb-bill-passes/

Now, I'm unsure of the credibility of the site, so it may be a hoax. I can't quite believe a country would so blatantly disregard people's privacy to this extent, but if it is true, it'll probably open the doors for other countries to do the same.

I'm pretty sure almost every first world government, especially the US, already does this. Only difference is Russia doesn't give enough of a fuck and will announce it anyway.

EDIT: Besides, storing all this information is actually extremely inefficient.

We can speculate, but we don't have proof of it. And with it being so ineffecient to do so, as well as being relatively useless in actually finding terrorists, what would be the purpose behind it?
