I would just do a ton of google/YouTube searches, all pro tutorials blow and it's just better to learn on semi on your own

anything at all. i recently animated a pie hitting a stick guy in the face, then the pie turned into a giant monster and the stick tried to hit it with a hammer but he got hit by an alien laser and then a guy with a sword came in and killed the alien and stole his eye and wore it as a hat... i could go on forever. the point is it doesnt matter what you animate, just animate something.
