I think gavel banned too many people for reasons that were too personal

like if he was pissed at someone in an argument/debate he'd ban them harshly on the spot

How was I trolling? All I did was tell everyone that I was going to Vegas, and make a joke about them coming with me. No one believed I was really going, and they made fun of the idea. Then out of no where, Gavel bans me for something that was done and over with. That was when he should have warned me, not banned me for 2 weeks. When I was getting out of line, and didn't even realize it, the mod, Jafo, sent me a PM warning me to cool down. Realizing that if I didn't stop, I was going to get banned, I listened. Of course, everyone on that site is older and more mature, so I guess I'm only dreaming...

lol that's just plain untrue, he'd ban people for being idiotic and breaking rules, but i saw him have tons of arguments with loads of people in the debate section and other places that he totally didn't ban, i can't actually recall when he once did that

I didn't mean he did it every time. Just doing it once would be bad enough, but I remember him banning gyohdon, zawmbee, ruin (I think), and gyohdon again in the middle of personal arguments. These were definitely not all of the cases since I never payed attention, just the ones I specifically picked up on. I know that I'm not the first one to accuse him of banning people for such reasons

I don't think gavel was a bad moderator, I was just saying.
