LOL you just looked up the wikipedia for it? Perhaps you should have read the whole page. The term "trolling" when used on the internet was meant to denote when a user was purposefully saying something they knew to be untrue just to get a rise out of someone. It stemmed from "trolling for newbies." For example, at one point on FA I was purposefully saying that the term "anime" is wrong, which lead to people who didn't know me getting really upset and starting arguments with me. Trolling USED to be about subtlety and wit, but unfortunately many of your 13-year-old ilk have corrupted the term to refer to pretty much anyone doing anything to sightly annoy someone, and now everyone calls themselves a troll for just about anything.

As an internet purist I don't accept that definition. It enables retards into thinking they're smart or popular. It was more funny to watch someone bait a thread and then use their wit to get someone even more riled up. Now it's as I said earlier: "fuck u faggot" "What? Why would say that?"
