no I went to an arts school and go to a lot of conventions. everyone there is trying to be weird to get attention, so it ends up being this cycle of people trying to one-up each other with weirdness. This one girl in bondage gear had another dude follow her around in a gimp suit for an entire weekend in 40+ degree heat (Celcius) and kept asking my girlfriend if she wanted to spend a night tied up in her hotel room so she could do things to her
edit: forgot to mention that no one really gave a shit around her. anywhere else and she'd be getting looks and disapproving clicks from uptight suburban folk.

People don't even flinch here when I tell them, it's just so expected of me. I'm not a bulldyke though, thank god. Not anymore, at least.
Yuck.
Jeff, tell me some stories. I'll sit on your lap, you'll be my sexual santa giving me the gifts of fanciful stories.

Quote from SolisterIronically enough I had sex with a girl named Emily using a makeshift strap on two days before New Years. It was crazy, she wasn't hot though but I got enough things off my bucket list for the new year.
Lol I know. That's why I made the joke.

Quote from JeffSolister seems tame, even boring compared to some of the people I've met. You guys are so sheltered lol
Haha, I know right?
Though I wouldn't say I think solister is boring. I actually really enjoy reading his/her/its posts.

"Its" is probably best suitable for me.

Hm, I must not have as good a standing in the raging lesbo crowd as I thought.

Wait, what? Jeff went to an art school? But isn't programming more your thing? Anyway, I know somewhat what you mean though, since I go to an art school too atm. It's rare to spot a normal looking bloke here, because everyone is "oh, so artistic". Shit like that. Borderline legally insane personalities aren't uncommon either.

I don't think I could go to an art school.
Because I would get violent.

yeah lol I wanted to animate and draw cartoons before I started programming. I still do, I just enjoy programming more partially because being in an art school, every fucking person does the same shit. Having a different talent meant you were more useful because if someone needed your skill, they couldn't stop a handful of kids in the hall and get results. Also in an art school, the teachers are snooty and stuck up. You can't enjoy and practice an art style that isn't "professional". Cartoonists and anime nerds like me were always given the shit end of the stick in actual art classes because when it came to projects expressing ourselves creatively, the teachers wouldn't "accept" anything other than realistic life drawings and shit, which defeats the purpose of expressing yourself creatively.

Ugh, that sounds so frustrating.
I would fucking stab her in the neck with a letter opener.
I've heard some people imply about how art isn't art unless it's realistic. Completely railing on my art because it's either in a more cartoonish anime-esque style or a fantasy piece. "Probably because of the things that influenced me as a child." Although my art can be extremely detailed and I do try for more realistic body proportions and the like. They just detest it because it's "Not realistic"
Perhaps this is a by product of the same state of mind that the teachers teach in.

Yeah, those despicable asshats. I can understand an art teacher's frustration when I look at all the teenage girls in my class drawing mediocre manga shit that all looks the same, but they're so close minded with it that they wont even look at anything non realistic, when there are obviously TONS of good styles that are unique or interesting, even in manga art. Also one of my teachers is old as hell and doesn't approve of digital art, which is fucking stupid.

Yeah it was quite frustrating. That sounds pretty much the same as the teachers I knew, except they were really vicious and vocal about hating anime and cartoons. At the same time though on the other side, when they were teaching about specific artistic styles and how to draw still life and shit, a lot of the people who had an anime style would get really obnoxious and bitch about not being "able" to draw the way they want in that class. While it makes sense if it's a personal project and you're being told you're not allowed to be personal, it doesn't really make sense to bitch about not being able to draw anime shit when you're learning about other styles. A lot of people took those classes thinking "I can draw anime, this will be a breeze!" When really "art" classes are about all forms of art.
Ugh I'm so glad I don't go to school any more.
