So my girlfriends mother is bout to run a triathlon.... And I somehow am getting dragged along. I am only looking forward to the hotel night I get to spend with her. aside from that I will basically be sitting there watching sweaty people swim, bike, and run. Ah well, that night will make it worth it.

i mentioned on IRC the other day, ages ago i did a social experiment where i started posting pictures of some girl in the picture thread. because i hadn't posted anything in there before, people immediately assumed i was a girl, which i went along with for the lols. for quite a long time everyone thought i was a girl, and people started hitting on me, spouting innuendo in vague attempts to rouse some nonexistent inner-nymphomaniac, etc (the same shit you gals are getting). eventually i claimed to be a lesbian to see if that would help at all; i even had a friend register and claim to be my girlfriend.

...it didn't help. for whatever reason, people were still convinced that they would somehow be able to convert a lesbian on the internet into a bisexual who was willing to cyber with them, via a stickfigure animation forum. results were consistent for the duration of the experiment, until i revealed eventually that i am in fact a manly-as-fuck bearded man.

my point is, all this is basically the penalty for openly being a girl on the internet. it's basically similar to a supermodel going into an internet cafe, and then fighting off obese nerds with a stick

i suspect it's also why the rule "there are no girls on the internet" exists
