I only need to learn enough Japanese to translate their video games. I feel like playing things like Dangan Ronpa or MGQ in their native language would only make them that much better.

I'd say it should be reverse. You shouldn't be able to risk your life in the armed forces, until you're a man. Which is past 24

I honestly don't think "man" has that much to do with age, I've met 30 year old guys I didn't consider men.

Regardless I don't think that we should be convincing young men to join the military, so that they can die for rich old men. All while convincing them that they're fulfilling some kind of honorable role in society.
They aren't Samurai, they ain't serving an honorable lord.
