You know there is a reason I don't come to the Chat Thread anymore. It used to be a fun, contentful place where people just talk about stuff in their lives or rant about something worth discussing about. The number of derailers and pointless posters numbered in the 2-3s and they all learned because I swatted them for negligence to the flow of the thread. These days, anybody who isn't an oldby just thinks that he/she is actually contributing by being meta (talking about talking, declaring the act of topic changing, telling users off about how they post--which is minimodding btw), or just plain ol' treating the place like an IRC Chatroom on steroids (pointless posts like "I just got here and say this...lolwat"). I stopped caring to infract people for the same old shit they've been doing for the past 200 pages.

And yet you are all complaining about how content should be filtered around here. When it's you're own damn fault. Stop talking about talking and just talk for crying out loud. Or Shut the the Fuck Up and lurk moar.

I agree with Scarecrow about the moderation in this thread though. It's been really lax lately and maybe it's because I was the only one taking care of it for the longest time when the other global mods slowly dropped off.

I'm re-enforcing it again. Anyone pulling this shit off^ will suffer the consequences As seen Here

this pleases me greatly

Has anyone seen the movie Stoker? It's a thriller about psychosis and a really screwed up family.

It was playing yesterday on HBO (I think) so, I wondered if anybody else saw it. It was.... quirky, to say the least. I would recommend it to anyone who would put up with being both confused and horrified for a prolonged period of time.

Well then, I have a question. This could probably go in the General Help area, but I don't think it's a big enough issue to deserve its own thread.

I don't have an invisible mode option. Was the function changed to a mod-only privilege or something? I've searched the FAQ and it's directed me to "Login & Privacy" in the settings, but the only option there is is to Allow vCard Download. Am I missing something?

How bizarre, because the option shows up for me. Maybe a mod from long ago disabled your use of Invisible Mode?

Anyone can use invisible mode, you go to settings, and then General Settings, you should see it from there.

Ignore the Edit Signature being highlighted, my mouse was over it during the print screen and I didn't notice.

Same here, got no option for the invisible-mode. Kind of wondering how some of you could hide your online presence so easily (should've asked those who ever being invisible in period of time, but was in such denial to do so).
Strangely, I have no invisible-mode option like Rosie has:

I know where the option should be... It's just not there, Rosie.

Part of the reason is Sacred's assassination game, although being invisible doesn't save the victim from those who press F5 on their Activity Stream every 30 minutes. Another reason is (presumably) to attract less attention.

Oh I was just curious, that's all. I mean I don't care enough to complain about it or anything. I really don't have a big use for it, other than if I'm on and off my computer while doing something else.

And for being sneaky during forum assassinations.
