i've always wondered, what does a moderator do?

Jutsu will make an exception, but only if you absolutely submit the picture. At this rate we don't have enough time to verify if you're real without the picture.

Maintain the rules, handle bots, handle events, etc. Sectionals take care of their specified sections, Globals handle all sections, and Admins maintain the site itself as well as some moderation and all the other things keepin things working around here. stone also handles name changes.

Do you need expierience to be a mod? Or do you just get the people you think is right for the job?

I think they just pick whoever they feel would be a good mod whenever they need a new mod

For example- If a new moderator was needed. I myself wouldn't vote because i literally just joined 2 days ago... or 3.. But the point is i haven't been here long enough to the point where i can actually make a judgement upon somebody.

Man, I remember there used to be this kind of application thread for mods wanna be back in 2013. Guess they don't need some others yet as they already have persons in mind that fits the job in the future.

yeah, that was back when things were still fuckin crazy nshit
now it's settled down, so I don't think the site really needs very many more mods
there used to be like five global moderators by default
now there's two

The first time Hewitt became a mod, to whoever wants to be a mod, why don't you take Hewitt as a role model?

I think he was the only one that got "chosen" back then (or was he offering himself as one, I'm not really sure) so that was an unexpected decision imo. Probably his great dedications on serving SP that made him become a very high potential there.

And yeah I gotta agree with Drone. SP's already safe with the current set of mods and admins ^u^
