If words become "popular" enough they get thrown in the dictionary. Selfie and twerking also became official words in the dictionary in 2013 when the two words exploded with popularity.

I'll probably watch this over Super Bowl weekend somehow.
I watched Lone Survivor in the theaters on a whim, and I really liked it. If the production quality of American Sniper is anything similar, then it should be enjoyable.
